"Eat up!" Jane Sampson quickly responded, and without needing Jas Black to urge her, she swiftly got off his back and sat down on the chair, waiting for Jas Black to pour the peanut soup into a bowl before she took two sips, cradling the bowl in her hands.
With food in front of her, Jane temporarily forgot about the lunchbox, watching Jas Black sit opposite her. She pushed the plate holding the buns a little closer to him and praised, "The guard team’s breakfast is really delicious! I had peanut soup this morning, and tomorrow morning I’m planning to try the soy milk."
Not hiding her foodie tendencies in the least.
"If you like it that much, after filming ends, you can stay with the guard team for two days," Jas Black suggested.
Jane’s face lifted from the bowl as she thought about it seriously and replied, "After eating for one week, I probably wouldn’t like it as much, would I?"
The corners of Jas Black’s mouth twitched almost imperceptibly. "Where’s your sincerity?"
Jane took a bite of her bun, her cheeks puffing up, and because her mouth was full, she didn’t speak, but her eyes betrayed her confusion.
What sincerity?
"Hmph," Jas Black scoffed coldly, "Don’t play dumb. You made a promise previously; when are you planning to fulfill it?"
Seeing Jane still silent, Jas Black gave her a reminder, "Half a month ago, fruits."
"Oh!" Jane suddenly realized, feeling stupid for not understanding what he ant by sincerity when he was actually referring to that incident!
"Did I agree?" Jane swallowed the food in her mouth, smiled, and shook her head, "I didn’t agree."
"Jane Sampson, now you’re breaking your word, have you considered the consequences?" Jas was unbothered, his voice low and calm, "Are you sure you won’t be needing any favors from in the future, and you’re gloating now?"
If Jane had a large tail behind her at this mont, just a second ago it would surely have been wagging proudly in heaven above, but in the next second, it would have been plastered to the floor.
"Are you sure?" Seeing the smile quickly fade from Jane’s face, the smile on Jas’s face erged.
Jane glanced at Jas’s face, then looked away.
Not sure, damn it!
Jane chose to remain silent and looked down to continue eating.
Jas reached out and took the bowl from her hands, "Answer first, then you can eat."
Jane reluctantly watched the bowl Jas had covered and gave him a glare, "I haven’t had any free ti recently, everything is scheduled so tightly, I’ll find you when I have ti."
She paused, then quickly added another sentence, "This ti when I ca back, I didn’t even know I was going to your guard team to record a show. I had two days of rest and was planning to spend them with you at the guard team, but you were not there, so, I do have sincerity."
After saying this, Jane reached out and unhooked Jas’s fingers from over her bowl, one by one, and pulled the bowl back in front of her to continue eating the buns with soup.
Jane wasn’t just blabbering; Jas knew that she had indeed planned to find him at the guard team, but he had left unexpectedly for a mission. Jas fell silent for a while, feeling that at so point he should give Rock Bell a call to explicitly understand Jane’s full schedule.
After finishing the late-night snack, Jas took the bowl and chopsticks to the kitchen to clean up, not letting Jane touch the water, washing everything swiftly by himself.
Thinking there was still plenty of ti, Jane didn’t rush to leave but turned on the TV in the living room to watch. When Jas ca out of the kitchen, Jane was watching a crosstalk show, sitting alone on the sofa, laughing heartily at the cody.
