"We’re not going back; we’re going to walk with Chief Black today co hell or high water!" Jane Sampson sneakily glanced at the person beside her and, seeing that Jas Black wasn’t looking in her direction, she quickly leaned in much closer to the Great General and muttered at breakneck speed. The next second, the Great General cocked its head to look at Jane Sampson and then happily wagged its tail, twirling around her.

"Let’s go!" After placating the Great General, Jane Sampson stood up again and cheerfully walked up to Jas Black. With a proper military posture, she kicked her legs and brought them together, "Chief, Sir, the Great General is ready to proceed."

Old Sir Sampton had been teammates with Old Master Black when they were younger, and Jane had grown up running wild inside the great courtyard. So, giving a military salute and marching was no big deal for her.

The entire residential community consisted of high-end villa residences, and there was a good distance between each ho. The landscaping throughout the community was flawless, reportedly designed by a renowned landscape designer with a focus on the ancient garden style of the southern city. Therefore, the community was everywhere filled with trees and flowering plants.

This offered imnse convenience to Jane Sampson, who was on the verge of becoming a dried-up salted fish in the heat. As soon as she stepped out of her house, Jane Sampson started walking towards the dense shade of the trees. At first, she was anxious as she saw Jas Black, who walked under the big sun and occasionally turned to look at her, fearing that he might also insist on embracing the sun together.

Fortunately, Jas Black was not that extre.

At this ti, there were hardly any people to be seen in the community. Just as Jane Sampson’s brain was racing to think of an excuse to ditch Jas Black and run off with the Great General, several dog barks suddenly ca from not far away.

A few seconds later, an elderly man of about the sa age as Elder Black trudged over with a dog, heading in the direction of Jane Sampson and Jas Black.

"..." Jane looked up at the sky, sighing inwardly, realizing there really were people who walked their dogs in the midsumr afternoon. The hobbies of this old sir were indeed extraordinary.

The elderly man knew Jas Black and greeted both of them upon seeing them. Noticing Jane Sampson handling the Great General, he chuckled, "I thought only my big grandson would be out playing at this ti. I didn’t expect the Great General’s hobbies were also so unique!"

The old man’s dog was nad Big Grandson, and the only reason he was out walking the dog at his advanced age was that Big Grandson wouldn’t stop barking inside the house.

Hearing the old man’s words, Jane Sampson looked down at the Great General and thought to herself that it seed she’d have to let the Great General take the fall for this one.

About nine out of ten elderly people like to chat and can go on for a long ti once they bump into soone they know and start on any given topic.

As the old man engaged Jas Black, the gloomy calabash, in conversation, Jane Sampson gave the Great General a signal with her eyes. Then, ducking low, she tip-toed stealthily away from behind Jas Black.

A woman and a dog took off running, while Jas Black, distracted by the old man’s conversation, didn’t notice.

Jas Black’s temperant was indeed too cold; after speaking to him for about five minutes, the old man finally realized that Jas Black wasn’t much for conversation, so he cut off his words and stopped chatting.

After all, with Jas Black’s personality, if you said ten sentences to him, getting a few grunts in reply was considered good. Don’t even think about him initiating conversation to avoid an awkward silence.
