However, with so many delicious breakfast options provided by the guard team, Jane Sampson started to turn her nose up at beef noodles.
But since the beef was bought, it couldn’t go to waste, especially when Jas Black had purchased quite a bit.
"How about this, after we finish our late-night snack, I’ll make you spicy beef? It doesn’t spoil easily in the refrigerator, so when I’m no longer with the guard team, you can have it with als. If so of your comrades in arms drop by, you can serve it as a dish to accompany drinks. If there’s too much, you can share so with Peter Gingery," Jane Sampson asked, "Is that okay?"
"Hmm," Jas Black had no objections.
Bright Sampton, who never forgot about delicious food, had already enjoyed it, so naturally, he had no objections.
Upon hearing that Jas Black agreed, Jane Sampson felt at ease and went straight to the kitchen after they finished their late-night snack.
As Jane Sampson washed the beef, Jas Black watched from the side. After washing it, she suddenly paused, turned her head, and asked him, "I’ve just realized a serious problem."
"What?" Jas Black asked.
"Soone who only cooks noodles at ho is unlikely to have the seasonings I need, like star anise, cinnamon, Sichuan peppercorns, pepper, and so on..." Jane Sampson said as she held her forehead, indicating the stuff she needed.
Jas Black let out a chuckle, hooked the corner of his mouth, then pointed to a cabinet to the left of Jane Sampson and said indifferently, "Everything’s in there."
Jane Sampson thought he was teasing her. Skeptical, she opened the cabinet door and took a peek inside at the jars and containers.
Wow, they were actually there.
Jane Sampson took everything out of the cabinet and placed it on the kitchen counter, mumbling, "You’re such a strange person. You only cook noodles at ho; these seasonings can expire, you know?"
She checked the expiration date on one of the jars in her hand.
It was just half a month ago. Jane Sampson was sowhat surprised.
"It’s almost as if these were prepared specially for ." Jane Sampson gave Jas Black a suspicious glance. Seeing that he wasn’t even looking at her, she didn’t say more and tossed all the seasonings into the pot, and finally, she threw in the whole piece of uncut beef.
Once he was sure that Jane Sampson wasn’t muttering to herself anymore, Jas Black asked, "How long does it need to cook?"
"More than four hours," Jane Sampson sighed. "Had I known, I would have co over and started earlier on my own. Now, by the ti it’s done, it will be early morning."
"Set a tir and go rest first," Jas Black said, and then he set a tir on the induction cooker. After doing this, he looked down to see Jane Sampson staring back at him with a shocked expression.
It seed she knew what he was planning to do.
Good, she was a smart young wife indeed.
"I... I’ll just stay here and watch, okay?" Jane Sampson swallowed, her saliva betraying her nervousness, "What if the water boils off?"
She had no retreat; with the stove behind her and Jas Black in front, Jane Sampson thought how great it would be to have the ability to just burrow away.
Jas Black tapped on Jane Sampson’s forehead, let out a chuckle, then took her by the hand with a deep voice, "Back to the room."
Jane Sampson shook her head and then quickly bent down, attempting to dash under Jas Black’s armpit.
But to her surprise, Jas Black reacted faster than she anticipated; his arm swooped down, embarrassingly trapping her under his armpit.
"Jas Black! I’m kindly making you sothing tasty, and you’re even thinking of ’eating’ !" Jane Sampson protested as she slapped at his waist, "Let go! Let go! Stop pinning down!"
Helping Jane Sampson get her wish, Jas Black let her go. However, he then lifted her up and carried her towards the bedroom, and Jane Sampson kept kicking, trying to get down from his arms the entire way. Alas, she couldn’t match Jas Black’s strength.
