After Peter Gingery finished speaking, he walked away directly, and the group of people split into two, instantly dividing.
"Sister Jane, Sister Ella, Brother Edwards said we should go together to find people, and after we find them, we’ll find a secluded place to discuss role allocation," Charlie Peterson called out to Jane Sampson from behind her.
Jane Sampson responded affirmatively, and then followed Hugo Edwards and the other two away from the gathering field.
"We can’t pick newcors. Those like Charlie Peterson, who look obviously too green, won’t be as capable as soone who has been enlisted for many years," Charlotte Miller suggested.
As the four of them were discussing, they turned their heads and saw Mair Williams approach a team mber ahead, only to be imdiately rejected. The scene was instantaneously filled with awkwardness. When the rejecting team mber got closer, Jane Sampson and the others could see clearly, oh, it was the black-face instructor.
It seed not so awkward anymore.
"I think the task of finding people for our group should be entrusted to Jane Sampson," Hugo Edwards turned his head to look at Jane, "Rember the first day we joined the guard team? Jane’s popularity was absolutely the highest in the guard team. No one could match her level of popularity there. If she steps forward, the probability of being rejected should be relatively low."
This is, after all, the guard team, and not just anyone found on the street would be highly cooperative. On cara, if you went up to invite soone and then got rejected, it would be quite embarrassing.
"Right, Sister Jane is the most suitable for this task!" Charlie Peterson vigorously nodded in agreent.
Jane Sampson didn’t make a fuss. Since Hugo and Charlie Peterson suggested it, she wasn’t going to feign humility and say she wasn’t up to the task.
Watching Mair Williams and Alexander SkyShaw discuss heading to the basketball court at the front, Jane rembered seeing quite a few team mbers there when she arrived in the morning.
The four of them muttered amongst themselves and decided to follow Mair Williams and Alexander SkyShaw toward the basketball court to find people.
"The second team has split into two groups. Should we also split up?" Charlotte Miller suddenly asked.
"No need, let’s stick together and follow them," Hugo Edwards shook his head and then urged Charlotte, who was falling behind, to pick up the pace.
Hugo’s intention was to get to the basketball court before Mair and her group did, but unexpectedly, they were noticed just as they were about to arrive.
"Hey, hey, hey, you four, sneaking around and following us the whole way!" Mair Williams turned her head and saw the four catching up, stretching out her hand to stop them, "First co, first served. We arrived first, we choose first!"
"You go first, you go first!" Seeing Lieutenant Johnson tallying up in his mind and Mair about to jump up in frustration, Jane wasn’t in a hurry to crowd around either.
With Jane’s response, Alexander SkyShaw called out directly, "Are there any heroes willing to join our team? We need three people!"
After Alexander finished speaking, the entire basketball court beca silent. Everyone’s face was filled with excitent, but, to everyone’s astonishnt, not a single person spoke up, and the whole scene was dead quiet.
"What’s going on?" Alexander SkyShaw was dumbfounded. He hadn’t anticipated that not a single person would respond.
"No one’s responded, so it’s our turn now, right?" Charlie Peterson trusted Jane blindly and pushed her forward as he spoke, "Sister Jane, it’s in your hands now!"
"Hey, I don’t believe this. Co on, start your show," Mair Williams pulled the still-confused Alexander SkyShaw back and gestured with her hand for Jane to move forward.
If no one answered Alexander SkyShaw, surely it wouldn’t suddenly change if it were Jane, right?
