Jane Sampson hid in the tree, giggling as she watched Hibiscus Wood and Mair Williams circle around the base a few tis, her shoulders shaking from the effort to suppress her laughter. She looked around and found that this wild peach tree was bearing fruit this season, and because no one tended to it, only the higher branches had any peaches.
Jane stood up and nimbly moved higher, plucking two unripe peaches before tossing them down at Hibiscus Wood and Mair Williams below.
"Ow! What is that?" Hibiscus Wood felt like sothing had suddenly struck her back and nearly jumped in fright.
Mair Williams hadn’t been hit, but the sight of sothing falling in front of her gave her quite a scare.
"It’s little peaches." Mair nudged the objects on the ground with her foot, then murmured to Hibiscus Wood, "Do you think there’s a wild monkey in the tree?"
"..." The cinematographer was sweating with embarrassnt; this ’monkey’ was Jane Sampson.
He had just watched with wide eyes as Jane climbed higher, which nearly caused his heart to leap out of his chest, but he dared not speak up. If he did, he would be breaking the rules by giving Hibiscus Wood and Mair Williams a hint.
Hearing Mair’s ntion of a monkey, Hibiscus Wood looked up to the treetop.
"Holy shit!" Hibiscus Wood forgot all about maintaining her image, "Shit! Shit! Shit! Jane Sampson is up in the tree!"
Mair quickly looked up and saw Jane perched in the tree, her expressive eyebrows dancing with triumph. She felt like she could describe her feelings at the mont with a million words.
"Jane Sampson, you must be the Monkey King in disguise!" Hibiscus Wood couldn’t help laughing, "Do you really need to try so hard, climbing so high? Aren’t you scared of falling down?"
"I made it up here, didn’t I?" If Jane had a tail at the mont, she probably would be swinging it high above, her expression radiating smugness.
"Are you the joker sent by the monkeys?" Mair Williams laughed so hard, she could barely stand straight, "Why don’t you leap into the sky and shoulder the sun as well? Look at you showing off!"
"If you have the skills, co on up." Jane whipped down another two peaches, then yelled, "Enjoy the treat!"
In reality, the peaches were smashed to bits when they hit the ground.
"You guys are so useless, I feel bad for my peaches." Jane looked on disparagingly at Hibiscus Wood and Mair Williams.
"Don’t get too cocky! Just you wait, if you could get up there, I refuse to believe I can’t!" Mair Williams gritted her teeth, "Watch as I tear off your naplate."
"Go ahead, co on up!" Jane weren’t worried at all, there was still plenty of room for her to climb even higher up the tree.
Mair embraced the tree trunk and tried climbing; she made it about 10 centiters before falling back down. Undeterred, she attempted to climb again and again.
After several awkward and sowhat comical attempts at climbing, Mair stood under the tree, looking up with a puzzled face, "How on earth did you get up there?"
The cinematographer finally couldn’t hold back anymore, chid in, "Oh My Mum! I watched her climb up just like a monkey—so nimble! Do you have any idea how big my psychological trauma is? It’s the size of the whole earth!"
They were scared by Jane’s tree-climbing stunt and amazed by her ability to climb.
Jane Sampson must be the most daring King and the least image-conscious female artist in history.
