The transmitter crackled with Alexander SkyShaw and another team mber’s response, "We’ll co over once we shake off the people behind us!"
"No need to wait to shake them off, just co straight over. By the ti you two get here, Mair and I will be tying up the pursuers. Only one of you needs to climb the tree!" Mair urged, "We don’t have ti to wait!"
"Okay, we’re on our way!" the team mber replied, familiar with the terrain here. Judging by Mair and Hibiscus Wood’s descriptions, he knew exactly where they were now.
Upon hearing this, Jane Sampson tensed up. With her vantage point high above the rest, it wasn’t long before she saw a mber of the second team getting closer and closer to her position.
"It’s over, my kingdom is about to fall!" Jane Sampson yelled into the transmitter, "Save ! Save !"
But it was already too late; the team mber had arrived.
"Can you make it up?" Mair asked.
"Piece of cake!" the team mber nodded confidently.
"Then it’s all up to you. Hibiscus Wood and I will deal with the ones chasing from behind!" As long as the first team king was eliminated, sacrificing the National Grandmaster and the Great General would be worth it.
Mair and Hibiscus Wood headed straight towards the direction from which the team mber had co.
Seeing a subordinate climbing the tree below her, Jane Sampson couldn’t sit still any longer and hurried upwards, shouting, "Hey hey hey! Am I still not your beloved Goddess Sampson? This is utterly ruthless, turning cold so suddenly!"
"After the ga ends, Goddess Sampson is still my favorite," the subordinate below answered cheerily, climbing nimbly, much faster than Jane Sampson’s ascent speed.
Jane Sampson’s limbs flailed as she continued to climb, causing everyone watching from below to feel their hearts in their throats. The team mber was incomparably faster than Jane Sampson, and it didn’t take long for his hand to grasp the upper part of her shoe.
"Goddess Sampson, no need to climb any higher; it’s dangerous. Let take your naplate, and then we can go down," the team mber urged, afraid of using too much force and possibly harming Jane.
Stubbornly resisting, Jane let go of her shoes, performing a deft maneuver by quickly withdrawing her feet.
The team mber held Jane’s shoe in confusion, about to continue his ascent when suddenly he heard the personnel below shout.
"Second squad king is out! Ga over!"
The team mber sighed upon hearing this, "I was just a little bit away!"
"We won, we won!" Jane Sampson was delighted, clinging to the tree trunk, "Quick, give my shoes; this bark is really rough on the feet!"
The team mber returned her shoes and climbed down the tree first, then turned and saw Jas Black approaching, causing him to tremble involuntarily, "Chief!"
Jas Black glanced at the team mber but said nothing, just stood directly below the tree.
The caraman swiftly turned the lens away, looking distressed—how did the stoic Chief Black show up again?
Jane Sampson, slipping her shoes on, heard the team mber’s shout and froze, looking down!
Mother! There stood Jas Black beneath the tree, facing her with a cold and gloomy expression!
"Jane Sampson." The person below called out in a chilling tone, using her na and surna included, "You always manage to impress ."
Had it not been for the final exasperated breath, those unfamiliar with Jas Black might have mistakenly thought Chief Black was offering a complint.
However, Jane Sampson shivered through every organ in her body upon hearing this single exhale.
"If you get hurt and beco disabled, let’s see if I won’t throw you into the sea to feed the sharks," Jas Black spoke coldly, the flas of anger inside him burning fiercer by the second.
