Now reading: Chapter 6 Jane Sampson from CEO's Reborn Wife, a Romance novel by Breeze Never Too Late.

Jane Sampson finally looked up at the delivery guy at the doorway bringing in the takeaway and let out a surprised, "Eh, has your shop changed staff? Are you new? I’ve never seen you before. Did your shop upgrade its delivery tools too? Is this a new version of express delivery? Can this carry-on bag keep things warm?"

Jane Sampson was so curious that she stepped out a bit further, bent over, and reached out to touch the delivery guy’s carry-on bag, chatting with him while asking, "It’s not easy for you guys, delivering these heavy things, battling through wind and rain. Especially in the sumr days, it must be tough, right? Look, you’ve been sunburnt to a crisp. Does your boss give you a heat allowance in the sumr?"

At this ti, Bright Sampton ca out of the restroom and saw the open door. He didn’t see Jane Sampson but heard her voice. He walked over and asked, "Sis, who’s here?"

"No one, just the restaurant outside the community delivering takeaway. I forgot to tell the boss not to deliver to tonight," Jane Sampson casually replied and urged the takeout delivery guy to give her the black pepper beef rice. She was pressed for ti, as she still needed to do her makeup after taking the stuff.

But the delivery guy, holding the carry-on bag, just stood there motionless, as straight and rigid as a sea-stabilizing divine needle. Jane Sampson lost her patience and was about to speak when she suddenly heard a voice from above calling her out.

And he called her by her full na.

"Jane Sampson."

The voice was icy cold, and if you listened closely, you could detect a hint of anger in the tone.

The familiar yet not intimate voice jolted Jane Sampson, and she almost stumbled to the ground. "You... you... you are... ?"

Jane Sampson stared wide-eyed, scrutinizing the man standing before her.

"Jas Black."

The man, Jas Black, replied to Jane Sampson and looked down at the formal dress she was wearing, eyebrows slightly raised, not quite understanding why Jane Sampson was dressed like that.

As Jas Black spoke, Bright Sampton had just arrived at the main gate and saw the two people there, one sitting on the ground and the other standing tall and clearly displeased.

"Sis... brother-in-law?" Bright Sampton, upon seeing Jas Black, imdiately dropped his casual deanor, instinctively straightened his back, and even reached out to smooth out his sowhat wrinkled suit.

Bright Sampton finally understood—their sister, Jane Sampson, had not only failed to recognize her husband but had actually mistaken him for the takeout delivery guy!

Impressive, truly impressive! Bright Sampton could hardly restrain himself from praising Jane Sampson!

How impressive it was not to recognize one’s own husband—could there be another person like this under the heavens?

Seeing the clothes on Bright Sampton, Jas Black finally realized that Jane Sampson was about to accompany Bright Sampton to so important banquet. He carried his luggage past the two at the gate and entered.

Not to ntion Bright Sampton, even Jane Sampson herself felt the pressure lift the mont Jas Black walked away.

"Sis! You’ve really got so nerve! Didn’t you say that your husband wasn’t coming back?" Bright Sampton bit his teeth and glared at Jane Sampson, pulling her off the ground and couldn’t help mocking her, "So impressive, being married to Brother Jas Black for so long and still so timid around him."

"So impressive indeed, having been his brother-in-law for so long, and still so cowed by him!" Jane Sampson retorted with a snort and a kick to Bright Sampton, then lifted the hem of her dress and walked in ahead of him.

Bright Sampton chuckled sarcastically. Sure, he was cowed by him—so what?
