In his hand, he held a card that read – there lies the broken bridge.
It could be said that as soon as the two of them stood on stage in their costus, even before the show had started, the audience burst into laughter.
Jas Black’s gaze briefly swept over Benjamin Worthington before focusing all his attention on Jane Sampson. Observing the tree leaves adorning Jane and then the broom in her hand, a barely visible twitch appeared at the corner of Jas’s mouth.
If Jas had to describe his feelings at that mont, it would only take four words.
Ugly to the point of hilarity.
Jas’s ears were filled with roaring laughter from the crowd, so laughing so hard as if their thighs were numb from slapping them.
This couldn’t really be called crosstalk; it was more like a rudintary stage sitcom.
Yet the funny lines, combined with the codic and exaggerated acting, sohow managed to have everyone clutching their sides with laughter.
After more than five minutes of the show, when Jane Sampson and Benjamin Worthington took their bows, the applause from the audience lingered for a long ti.
When Jane Sampson and Benjamin Worthington ca down from the stage, Jas’s comrades finally began to quell their laughter and turned to him, saying, "Chief, our sister-in-law is really entertaining. Having such a treasure of a wife at ho, your days must be filled with joy."
Jas, who had been watching the stage, now brought his gaze back and looked at the speaker.

Jas thought, she actually gave him a headache.
Backstage, Jane Sampson, hearing the continued applause from below, excitedly high-fived Benjamin Worthington.
"Yes, the performance was a success, a pleasure to work with you!" Jane extended her hand for a fist bump with Benjamin, her eyes shining with a brilliance akin to morning light.
When the two returned to their seats, Mair Williams imdiately hugged Jane’s shoulder and said, "You two are going to laugh to death, all to inherit my eight-digit WhatsApp account, right?"
"No, we’re going to laugh you to death, so we can inherit your fans," Benjamin chid in, and seeing that the last duet show’s team mbers had already taken the stage, he and Jane quickly settled down and stopped talking.
Watching the performance in silence is a basic respect for every actor on stage.
The majestic chorus ca to an end, signaling the end of tonight’s entertainnt. As the announcer invited several instructors up, the eight artists began presenting the afternoon-prepared gifts to the instructors, lining up to bestow them one by one.
With the passing of tonight, and the dawn of tomorrow, it ant it was ti for everyone to part ways.
While watching the show, nobody had felt the atmosphere of separation, but now, with the tune "Unforgettable Tonight" in their ears and the instructors they had spent the past few days with before them, the mood began to set in.
Soone suddenly teared up first, handing over the gift in their hand and whispering to the instructor with a handshake that they were a bit reluctant to part with them.
Then, the emotions brewing in everyone’s hearts gradually surfaced.
All eight people had arrived with anticipation and curiosity.
During the most difficult and exhausting tis of these six days, there wasn’t one among them who hadn’t internally complained about the instructors or even thought them to be slightly detestable in their fierceness.
But tonight, just now, in that very second, when giving away the souvenirs nad gifts, everyone suddenly realized.
This country is so vast that after tomorrow, perhaps, they might never see each other again in this lifeti.
