Yes. Jane Sampson had just finished a ga, and upon hearing Mair Williams ask this question, she really took the question seriously and thought about it.
Jas Black’s mory was so frighteningly good; he’d always bring up things from her childhood that even she didn’t rember. His reading speed was fast as well, flipping through pages, yet he was able to quickly rember what he saw. Peter Gingery had ntioned that they had trained for this, each having their own mory techniques.
Therefore, Jane thought, the mbers of the guard team probably didn’t have mory much worse than that, so she nodded and gave Mair a definite yes in response.
"That’s good," Mair breathed a sigh of relief, figuring maybe the black-face instructor was a bit busy now, so she’d wait a bit longer.
After dropping off Mair, the car took more than half an hour to get downstairs to Jane’s building. Jane said her thanks and goodbyes to everyone and then took her suitcase up to her apartnt.
Once ho, Jane didn’t do anything; she crawled back into bed to catch up on sleep.
A Sunday morning is suited for sleeping in seriously.
At the guard team base, because their sister-in-law had already left, the teammates felt sad for a while, and those who had received red berry jam from Jane were proudly showing off in front of their teammates.
Everyone really wanted to ask Jas Black when their sister-in-law would return to the guard team, but due to Jas’s authority, not a single person dared to ask.
After lunch, Peter Gingery saw Jas Black taking the car keys to go driving and followed him to ask casually, "Brother, are you going out this afternoon?"
"Yes, heading to the city for a eting," Jas replied, "There’s a dinner arranged after the eting. I’ll probably be late, so I won’t return to the guard team tonight."
"So you’re going ho?" Peter’s smile gradually widened, "Does Jane know?"
"What do you think?" Jas responded with a displeased counter-question.
Peter chuckled, thinking to himself that it’s no wonder Jas had so resolutely said he wouldn’t send Jane off in the morning. He had initially thought it was because Jas felt that watching her for six days was enough and nothing to miss, but it turned out he was waiting for this mont.
Not sending her off because he planned to be ho tonight.
Certainly, there was nothing to miss if he could see her again in the evening.
"If you dare tell Jane, you’ll be in for it when I get back," Jas threatened Peter, and seeing Peter just standing there with a goofy smile and not saying a word, his voice grew colder, "Didn’t you hear what I said?"
"Chief, Sir! Understood!" Peter responded loudly, then hee-hee-heed and ran off laughing.
If Jas hadn’t said anything, Peter was indeed ready to tip Jane off in advance, but now that Jas had threatened him, Peter really didn’t have the guts to give Jane a heads-up.
At ho, Jane slept until one-thirty in the afternoon before waking up. After waking, she ordered so takeaway and personally started cleaning up the entire place inside and out.
By the ti it was due for the next al, Jane, alone, couldn’t be bothered to cook. She thought about it and called Nina Rice, hoping to invite Nina to have a al with her. However, Nina happened to be out of town, and Jane’s plan fell through.
So Jane’s dinner was still takeaway.
Dragging her feet until seven o’clock, Jane finally ordered so porridge as a treat for her stomach, then felt sowhat bored, lying like a corpse on the sofa in the living room. It really wasn’t a habit yet coming out from the guard team base, where there were always people around her, bustling with noise. Once ho, it was eerily quiet.
Fortunately, she was starting a new job tomorrow morning. She would be flying to City S early to film a lipstick advertisent. So, the only ti she would be at ho was just tonight.
