"Jane Sampson, you shut up," Jas Black’s voice seed to burst through clenched teeth.
As Jane was singing the first line for the fourth ti, hearing Jas’s words, she puffed her cheeks, visibly discontent with his domineering demand to stop her singing, but she still ekly responded with an "oh," and fell silent.
However, less than ten minutes of silence had passed before she suddenly let out a sigh for no apparent reason.
"Jas, I need to use the restroom." Jane pointed towards the roadside ahead, "Let’s stop at the Service Area."
"Hmm," Jas Black answered.
About five minutes later, the car stopped at the Service Area, and Jane promptly put on her mask and hat before stepping out.
Jas closed the car door and followed her, Jane, leading by two steps, turned her head to glance at him and asked, "You’re following just for a restroom visit?"
Could it be he was afraid she’d run off midway?
How could that be?
"I need to go too," Jas said, the corners of his mouth twitching imperceptibly as he counterquestioned, "Is that a problem?"
"No! No problem!" Jane quickly nodded, and then dashed into the ladies’ restroom.
The Service Area wasn’t very large, and there was a line at the ladies’ restroom. When Jas ca out, Jane had not yet returned. Thinking of how Jane had been fooling around with his mobile phone earlier, he fished it out of his pocket.
No need to search for it, as soon as he took out his phone, he saw nurous new ssage notifications. Jas directly clicked them open, and imdiately saw an added mont in his space, along with over a hundred replies underneath it.
Jas read all hundred-plus ssages and then, watching Jane coming towards him, hopping and bobbing her head, he couldn’t help but smirk.
At that mont, Jane, because of Jas’s little smirk, ca to an abrupt halt, her head halting mid-shake at a slight angle as she looked back at him.
One could say her survival instincts were pretty strong.
The mont Jane saw Jas’s expression, she knew he had found out about the mischief she had done in his space.
It was a bit sooner than she expected; she assud he would only see it when he was with her at the shopping mall.
"Co here," Jas Black called out, staring at the woman who refused to take another step forward.
Jane swallowed, gingerly spoke up, tentatively asking, "You’re not angry, right?"
"What do you think?" Jas said, hands in his pockets, waiting for Jane to co over, his voice betraying not a bit of emotion.
Jane touched the tip of her nose with her hand; usually, when Jas still spoke to her, that ant he wasn’t really furious.
The safety index was quite high.
Alarm dismissed.
Jane scampered over to Jas and wrapped her arms around his, "You definitely aren’t angry, hehe."
"Always itching for a cleanup?" Jas lifted his hand to remove Jane’s hat, then flicked her forehead.
It wasn’t hard, but Jane still covered her forehead and pouted at him.
Jane was quiet for a few seconds, then asked in a low voice, "Did you delete it?"
"Why keep it if not to delete?" he answered, as always, with a rhetorical question.
Jane rely acknowledged with a sound, and let Jas lead her back to the car.
The car once again took to the expressway, and this ti, Jane was much more behaved; she didn’t stare at Jas inexplicably nor did she sing the Smurfs song she had adapted for him.
