Lying Chief Black!
Jane Sampson chuckled as she held her mobile phone, then turned her head and stared at Jas Black with a gaze that said "I’m just going to quietly enjoy the view."
"What are you doing now?" Jas Black was utterly bewildered by Jane Sampson’s stare.
"Nothing, I’m just looking at you," Jane shrugged, "Looking doesn’t cost money, right?"
Before Jas Black could speak, Jane added, "I’ve been really broke recently, so if it costs money to look, then I can’t afford it."
The corner of Jas Black’s mouth twitched imperceptibly. He ignored Jane and drove straight to the largest luxury shopping mall in Capital Province City.
He parked the car in the shopping mall’s underground parking lot, grabbed his kettle along with them, and then led Jane into the mall.
Seeing Jas Black take the kettle out of the car, Jane was about to say sothing but stopped herself, thinking it was unnecessary hassle as cold drinks could be found everywhere in the mall...
Cold drinks.
Since it wasn’t the weekend and it wasn’t yet ti to get off work, there were few people in the mall at this ti, even sowhat deserted.
Upon reaching the mall, Jane imdiately linked arms with Jas and headed for the specialty counters of a few brands they often visited. As soon as they entered, Jane let go of Jas’s hand and scampered off to find a salesperson she knew well. The two of them started chatting and picking out clothes together.
After Jane was done chatting with the salesperson and ca out of the dressing room wearing a new outfit to look for soone, Jas had already made his way to the resting area to sit down.
As Jane approached, she saw Jas playing with his phone. Probably hearing her footsteps, he hadn’t yet co close when he turned his head to look at her and casually put his phone in his pocket as he stood up.
"I can’t believe even you have monts of getting caught up in your phone," Jane teased Jas, then pointed to her own clothes and asked with a smile, "Do I look good?"
Jane was wearing a white dress, purely white without any other color embellishnts. However, the pleats and ruffles from the shoulder to the waist made her overall disposition appear very gentle and soft.
Jas’s gaze briefly swept over the skirt hem, which had passed Jane’s knee, and he nodded, "You look good."
Jane’s smile grew even harder to contain, "Naturally beautiful, so anything I wear looks good, right?"
As she said this, her face almost touched Jas’s, her sparkling eyes magnetic and enticing.
Jas stepped back two paces, his voice low, "You’re not standing properly."
Jane was montarily startled, then straightened her stance. After a mont, she still couldn’t help but huff a breath and turned her head to walk away.
The salesperson over there couldn’t help but smile at the corners of her mouth as she watched the interaction between Jane and Jas.
Jane, taking Jas around shopping, took less than two hours to sweep up a heap of stuff, and by the ti they left the mall, Jas was carrying countless bags in his hands.
After putting everything into the car’s trunk, Jas hurried Jane into the car, saying, "We’re having dinner at Black Residence."
"Sure," Jane nodded in agreent, smiling the whole ti because she was in a good mood.
Once in the car, Jane bent down to fasten her seatbelt, but her mobile phone in her purse rang first.
Jane glanced at the caller ID, sowhat surprised that it was Charlotte Miller.
Jane answered the phone first.
As soon as the call connected, Charlotte Miller’s voice ca through the phone.
