After asking the doctor, Jane Sampson squatted down to look Jas Black in the eye and said, "Jas, you have to get better."

"Mmm, I’ll get better." The softness of Jas Black’s voice was like a gentle breeze in March; he hoped he could use this tender tone to soothe Jane Sampson’s anxious heart.

"Lady, your husband’s injury is mainly in his hand; there is a tube in his left hand, but it isn’t near any vital parts. We need to perform surgery to deal with the problems in his hand, and we need your signature now. Once you sign, we will imdiately operate on the patient." The doctor looked at the woman crying pitifully and felt compassion for her.

"I’ll sign, I’ll sign now." Jane Sampson once again raised her hand to wipe away her tears, clutching the doctor’s sleeve beside her tightly, and asked again, "He’ll be alright, won’t he?"

"Every surgery has its risks, and we can’t guarantee there will be no complications one hundred percent, but this surgery is considered very low risk. So, madam, rest assured, we doctors will do our best to save our patient." After saying this, the doctor asked the nurse beside him to hand the relevant surgical agreent to Jane Sampson.

Jas Black watched as Jane Sampson’s hands trembled, holding the pen to sign her na on each piece of paper that required her signature, a scrawling ss resembling that of a first grader’s handwriting. She was really scared.

"Jane Sampson." Jas Black called out to the person who had finished the signatures, and after she turned to look at him, he continued, "Once you’ve signed, you can go back to work. Let Quincy Forest help you with your makeup. Crying has made you look like a little spotted cat; it’s embarrassing to walk out looking like that."

Jane Sampson squatted down again, resting her face on the side of the hospital bed, shaking her head gently, "I don’t want to leave; I want to wait here in the hospital for you to co out."

"Good girl, be obedient, go to work." Jas Black urged Jane Sampson, "The doctors are there for the surgery, and you can’t help there. Be good, freshen up your makeup and go back to work."

Seeing that Jane Sampson wasn’t speaking and her tears were starting to flow uncontrollably again, Jas Black sighed softly and asked, "Sharing the stage with Mr. Carter has been your dream for many years, hasn’t it? Hasn’t it?"

"Yes." Jane Sampson replied softly, and after her response, she bit her lip and stayed silent.

"Since it’s your dream and the opportunity is rare, you should go for it. Have you forgotten how hard you’ve practiced these past few days? Wouldn’t it be a pity if you didn’t go?" Jas Black asked, having seen how hard Jane Sampson had worked in recent days.

Every day when she ca ho, her voice was nearly hoarse from talking, and although she was usually so dainty, she never complained once.

Every night she ca ho, she would excitedly grab his arm and tell him she had liked Jas Carter since she was little, that Jas Carter was her faith and her idol, and how she dreamt that if one day she could share the stage with Jas Carter, that would be wonderful.

She said she was genuinely happy; God had really given her this opportunity, so she had to sing well, not let Jas Carter down, nor hold him back.

Jane Sampson also ntioned that just thinking about performing on the sa stage as Jas Carter made her feel exhilarated as if she were dreaming.

Her every word, every single one, made Jas Black deeply feel how much Jane Sampson valued and looked forward to this performance.

After asking and still not hearing Jane Sampson speak, Jas Black continued, "Listen to , go. By the ti your work is done, I should have co out of the surgery room. Once you return, you’ll be able to see ."
