I never expected that she wouldn’t even enter, just arriving at the guardian team’s doorway and running into the least likely person to encounter.
What kind of karma is this?
Jane Sampson didn’t notice the darkness that had crept into Jas Black’s expression by a few degrees. After delivering the stuff, she waved her hand toward Jas, "This is a restricted area for the guard team, outsiders shouldn’t linger, I’m leaving now."
After speaking, Jane Sampson started the car and quickly turned around to leave.
Jas Black, being tall and burly, stood between the two cars, and the people in the car over there could only hear their commander talking with a girl with an especially nice voice, but they couldn’t see what the girl looked like. By the ti the girl turned her car around to leave, the car windows were rolled up, and she drove off so fast that they saw nothing.
When Jas returned to the car with a dark expression, Mark, who was sitting in the driver’s seat, glanced at the food box in Jas’s hand and uttered a surprised sound, then asked, "Commander, was that girl with the really nice voice Peter Gingery’s girlfriend? Wow, she is so considerate, coming especially on the weekend to deliver food to Peter. That Peter Gingery, so sneaky, always lying to us saying he doesn’t have a girlfriend, turns out he already had such a tender and caring partner!"
Mark and the others all knew that Peter Gingery was Jas Black’s cousin, so it wasn’t strange for Jas, as a cousin, to know Peter’s girlfriend. This could only an that Peter’s girlfriend must have been in a relationship for quite so ti, even heading toward marriage, already having t the family.
But after saying that, Mark suddenly felt the temperature in the car seem to drop several degrees, so cold that he wanted to turn off the car’s air conditioning.
Jas Black kept a stern face and said nothing, bottling up a mix of indescribable emotions in his heart.
Why did his wife go out of her way to the guardian team just to bring stuff to Peter Gingery?
This must be the first ti Jane ca to the team base to find soone, right?
Ha, great, it seems to have nothing to do with him at all.
As the car entered the team base, Jas Black got out and saw Peter Gingery running toward him, or more accurately, running toward the food box in his hand.
"Brother, hehe, thanks a lot." Without Jas handing over the stuff, Peter didn’t dare to reach out and take it directly, so he could only rub his hands and feign gratitude first.
"Did Jane Sampson call you?" Jas Black looked down at the food box in his hand and asked.
"Yeah," Peter nodded, having rushed to the parking lot imdiately after ending the call.
Jas Black tugged at the corner of his mouth and let out a scornful laugh, "Great, so you were worried that I’d hide it and not give it to Peter? Or that I might eat it myself?"
Jas Black tossed the food box directly to Peter, just about to turn away, when unexpectedly, Peter caught it and opened the food box right there.
Jas’s steps uncontrollably paused, and his gaze swept over to the food box in Peter’s hand.
Indeed, the food box contained eggs, but only a part of the eggs.
A whole box of egg whites, without a single piece of yolk to be found.
Peter opened it, sniffed, pinched a piece of egg white, and stuffed it into his mouth, eating with a face full of satisfaction, "Sure enough, it’s good to have been close friends with Jane for so many years; she always rembers when there’s good food."
Mark, curious, peered over, "What is this?"
"Tea eggs," Peter answered as he put the lid back on, "tea eggs without the shells and the egg yolk I hate the most."
"Damn, are you that luxurious when eating eggs, throwing away the yolks?" Mark exclaid and then called out to Jas, "Commander, Sir, soone is wasting food here!"
"Get lost! Who tells on soone right in front of them?" Peter grinned and laughed, then explained, "No waste, Jane ate the yolks! Since we were kids, she and I have always matched so well. We both especially love tea eggs. She likes the yolk, and I like the white."
