She had thought that Jas Black would first return to the upstairs, but when she ca out from the kitchen, he was still sitting in the living room waiting for her.
It was not until he saw her exiting the kitchen that Jas Black stood up and walked over to her side, his voice low as he said, "Let’s go back upstairs."
"Oh, alright," Jane Sampson stretched, twisted her waist and neck, and replied.
"Rock Bell called you just now, I answered for you. She said that the weather in Capital Province has been pretty bad these last few days, constantly raining heavily. Flights have been continuously delayed, and in the end, they were outright cancelled. Jas Black intended to decline, but seeing Jane Sampson’s tone so nonchalant, yet her face turning red, he swallowed the word "no."
He got up and walked towards Jane Sampson, his voice slightly cheerful as he agreed, "Alright."
Jane Sampson pushed Jas Black’s back, and the two of them entered the bathroom one after the other.
At first, the only sound in the bathroom was the running water, with Jane Sampson constantly telling herself to ignore Jas Black’s body and to act serious while scrubbing his back without saying a word to him.
But later...
Suddenly, there ca an unhappy voice from Jane Sampson in the bathroom.
"Jas Black, you old rascal!"
"Jane Sampson, I’ve told you before, I can be a rascal, but I won’t allow you to add ’old’ before it," Jas Black’s voice had a hint of protest.
"You’re just an old rascal! Can’t you take care of your... thing? Why did it suddenly just..." Jane Sampson’s voice trailed off, getting softer.
"Can’t help it," Jas Black replied, quite straightforwardly.
"..." Jane Sampson found herself speechless at his blunt response.
After being quiet for a few seconds, Jas Black’s head was suddenly covered entirely by a large bath towel.
"All clean! Hurry up and get out!" Jane Sampson’s voice reached his ears through the bath towel.
Even though he couldn’t see Jane Sampson’s face, Jas Black could well imagine her blushing and fuming with anger.
Her hand rubbed his head a bit, then she urged him to stand up. The next second, the bath towel was wrapped around his waist, covering all the sights that were making her blush.
"Alright! Out you go! Out you go!" If it weren’t for caring about the injuries on Jas Black’s body, Jane Sampson really wanted to kick him out.
Worried about him slipping, Jane Sampson followed Jas Black out of the bathroom. When they reached the bedroom, she helped him onto the bed first, reached for a thin blanket, and directly covered everything below Jas Black’s waist.
Only after doing all this did Jane Sampson finally breathe a sigh of relief.
