"My ex-husband," Rock Bell said with particular calm, "your forr brother-in-law, Peter Gingery."

Jane Sampson was stunned, and just as she was about to ask about Rock Bell’s divorce, the car had already arrived at the high-speed train station, and Rock Bell, in a flurry, rushed Jane Sampson out of the car and sprinted into the station with her.

Because they purchased the tickets late, Rock Bell could only get regular second class seats. Fortunately, Jane Sampson was now just an ordinary person and her agent, who usually kept a low profile, was hardly recognized by anyone, so after finding their seats, the two sat down directly. The express train only had a 15-minute wait at this station; Jane Sampson and Rock Bell boarded early, and there were still many empty seats next to them.

While Jane Sampson was looking around, a voice from a few steps away suddenly made her feel especially familiar.

Jane Sampson stood up to look back, and at a glance, she was so frightened that she imdiately sat back down and hastily pulled out a magazine to cover her face, leaning to one side.

"What are you doing?" Rock Bell asked strangely.

"Sister Tin, I’m going to sleep; don’t call , please don’t call ," Jane Sampson chanted in her heart, hoping not to be seen, praying Peter Gingery wouldn’t see her.

Jane Sampson felt that she really must have neglected to check the almanac before leaving ho today—the almanac must have advised against traveling and predicted everything would go wrong!

She went to deliver eggs to the guard team for Peter Gingery, and before she even entered the main gate, she encountered Jas Black first.

Taking the express train, and the darn train hadn’t even departed yet! And she ran into Jas Black again!

The familiar voice she had just heard was that of Peter Gingery, who chattered behind Jas Black like a sparrow, as if he had never been on an express train in his past eight lives. Jane Sampson saw in that one glance just now how Jas Black frowned impatiently.

There’s a saying, "What you fear is what you get!"

Jane Sampson hoped that Jas Black’s party wouldn’t sit too close to her, but in the end, Jas Black and his group sat directly opposite Jane Sampson and Rock Bell.

Face to face, and indeed, an inescapable ill-fate.

Seeing the people opposite sit down, Rock Bell realized why Jane Sampson had said she wanted to sleep. Was she planning to feign sleep in front of her husband until she got off the train?

"Brother, how many days are we going to stay in City C this ti?" Peter Gingery muttered after sitting down, "The business over there in City C is incredibly tedious."

Listening to Peter Gingery’s complaints, Jane Sampson’s heart shattered.

City C...

What a darned coincidence!

Too coincidental!

She and Sister Tin were also going to City C!

So, Jane Sampson’s heart was crying tears—it wasn’t enough to ensure she wasn’t recognized by the people opposite her on the train, but she also had to ensure that she wouldn’t be seen or run into them when getting off?

Would her first outing for an audition end up like this? A disastrous beginning?

"Shut up," Jas Black had no patience for Peter Gingery’s complaints. After sitting down, occupation dictated that his first task was to observe every person in the compartnt.

The woman opposite had caught his attention from the mont he found his seat—Jas Black also vaguely felt she looked familiar, possibly soone he had seen before. But at that mont, Jas Black couldn’t quite rember who she was.

Dismissed by Jas Black with a sharp comnt, Peter Gingery rolled his eyes and stopped talking to Jas Black. Instead, he made a face at Jas Black’s teammate next to him, then looked over at the woman sitting directly opposite him.

"Huh," Peter Gingery let out a sound.

That single ’huh’ nearly sent Jane Sampson’s heart flying into her throat.
