"Relax, it’s not broken." Jane Sampson hurriedly wiped the dust off the mobile phone screen and without paying attention to Jas Black’s hand, directly placed Jas Black’s mobile phone into his trouser pocket.
Jas Black seed to not care at all whether his phone was broken or not, his gaze remained fixed on Jane’s foot, his eyebrows furrowed, and the hand that was wrapped around Jane’s waist didn’t withdraw at all, staying in a protective embrace.
Perhaps knowing that Jas Black was fierce, the child didn’t co over to Jane again and kept quiet for a while before going on to bother other passengers nearby.
Jane stared at the hand Jas Black had on her waist the entire ti, wondering to herself when he would finally take it back. While she was mumbling to herself, she actually fell asleep until Jas Black called out to her upon the high-speed train arrival.
"You really can sleep," Peter Gingery mocked with a laugh, "Look at you snoring away."
"Impossible," Jane snorted upon seeing Jas Black standing up and grabbing their luggage, and then slowly stood up herself.
Her small suitcase was in Jas Black’s hand. As soon as she stood up, Jas Black asked her a question.
"Can you walk?"
"Yes," Jane nodded repeatedly. She wasn’t that delicate. A slight injury like this, although it hurt so much that her eyes turned red at the ti it happened, was no longer an issue after such a long ti. Walking was not a problem, as long as she didn’t get stepped on after getting out of the high-speed train station.
"Co here." Jas Black carried his own backpack on his shoulder and held Jane’s suitcase with one hand. Once Jane ca out, he directly wrapped her shoulder and led her off the train.
"Slow down, there’s no rush. Let the others go out first." Seeing Jane hastening towards the exit, Jas Black pressed down on her shoulder to hold her back, and then asked, "Which hotel have you booked?"
Seeing that Jane looked as though she hadn’t heard, Jas Black turned to look at Rock Bell standing next to them.
"At the Welton on Bob Road," Rock Bell said, and after saying so, casually asked Jas Black, "What about you?"
"What a coincidence!" Peter Gingery clapped his hands together and laughed.
Upon hearing this, Jane thought to herself, surely they couldn’t be staying at the sa hotel by such a coincidence?
Next, she heard Peter Gingery gasping like a goat, "We are staying at the Public Security guesthouse right next to Bob Road. It’s less than ten minutes’ walk from your hotel, really close."
What the hell, so coincidental!
Jane glared and kicked at Peter Gingery’s lower leg, "Next ti you talk like this, watch out, I’ll beat you up."
"Jane Sampson, you’re being unreasonable now!" Peter Gingery’s face turned sour, "You’re just scared that we’ll be staying in the sa hotel!"
Jane swore, if it weren’t for Jas Black pressing down on her shoulder stopping her from moving rashly, she really could have used her injured foot to kick this idiot Peter Gingery into a third-class disability.
So things are better left unsaid, why bother saying them?
"Jane Sampson, don’t glare at . I still have to say it, you’re just being silly. Think about it, we’re on a business trip, how could we possibly stay in a five-star hotel? You’re just worrying over nothing," Peter Gingery said and then swiftly took off with his backpack on.
Jas Black waited until the crowd thinned before leading Jane towards the exit. The car was too crowded for everyone, so Jas Black didn’t share a ride with Jane and Rock Bell.
Once on the car, Jane really breathed a sigh of relief. Being pressed by Jas Black the whole way was truly uncomfortable. Rock Bell sat next to Jane with a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth, "Do you really want to divorce Jas Black?"
