Jane Sampson had barely finished arguing with Jas Black when Coco Edwards ca to pick her up for the audition.
In the car, Coco brought up the stuff happening on the internet. Being an insider, she went on a rant, "That twitter blogger is bound to get smacked in the face repeatedly."
After the rant, Coco suddenly rembered another ridiculous thing, "Oh, also, Junior President Forest just loves adding fuel to the fire; he even retweeted that tweet."
"What?" Jane wasn’t following Alexander Forest’s twitter, and since this matter had just blown up, she hadn’t kept up with it, so she didn’t know that Alexander too had joined in the drama. "What did he say when he retweeted it?"
"When Junior President Forest retweeted it, he added two words, ’haha,’ and then an extra smiley face. He’s just watching the drama unfold, leaving the audience utterly confused about what he ant by that reply."
Only then did Jane take out her mobile phone to search for Alexander Forest’s twitter. Upon opening it, sure enough, it was as Coco had said. Alexander had, out of sheer boredom, retweeted that tweet. Now, there were thousands of comnts underneath it, with netizens asking whether Jane Sampson was his cousin-in-law.
Seeing this, Jane was speechless.
This was very much in line with Alexander Forest’s style of doing things, totally asking for a smack.
"But this, Sister Tin said it doesn’t affect you. These people, focusing all day on your affairs, one day saying Shirley Young is your backer, another day saying it’s Jas Carter, and now, they’re saying it’s President Forest, but none of it is confird. Netizens are just here for the show. I guess, no one really believes them," Coco said. Plus, whenever Jane retorted on twitter, she did so without holding back, so most netizens still believed Jane must be a hidden rich and pretty woman, a rich second-generation.
Nowadays, aside from work, aren’t people just glued to the internet looking for so entertainnt?
"Besides being the fastest-rising newcor, I must also be the one who frequents the ’hot search’ the most," Jane touched her chin. Topics about her would surface on the hot topics rankings every now and then.
"Yes, the Public Relations Departnt and Sister Bell said you’ve saved the company a bunch of operational expenses," Coco responded cheerfully, then asked, "Your man saw this news, he shouldn’t really mind, right? This thing, as long as both sides ignore it, won’t be hot for more than 24 hours."
"Him?" Jane thought about it. Jas wasn’t addicted to his mobile phone nor was he always fiddling with it. Subsequently, shaking her head, she said, "He probably won’t even see these ssages on the internet, and even if he did, he wouldn’t care much."
After all, Jas clearly understood the extent to which Kane Forest had helped her—a bit of gratitude she felt deep in her heart. At most, there was the added layer that Kane Forest was Alexander and Quincy Forest’s cousin.
Jane thought, with Jas’s temperant, it was clear he wasn’t the type to irrationally get jealous, so even if he found out, it wouldn’t matter.
The two of them chatted all the way until they arrived. Unlike the reception she had received in the morning, this ti, as soon as Jane Sampson and Coco Edwards arrived downstairs at the company, the receptionist imdiately respectfully escorted them upstairs to the audition hall.
