Along the way, Grandma Forest kept trying to market another grandson from their house, but after introducing Alexander, she looked at Kane, who was sitting in the co-pilot seat, and whispered to Jane Sampson, "Actually, my big grandson is more pitiful than the little one. My big grandson has reached this age without ever having been in love. If you think you could make do with him, perhaps you should take pity on him and marry him."
Jane could tell that Grandma Forest might be suffering from an elderly person’s ailnts, that’s why her personality was like that of a child.
Jane glanced at Kane in the co-pilot seat, having listened to Grandma Forest picking on him and Alexander the whole trip, and it was very hard for her to hold back her laughter.
In about half an hour, the car stopped at the gate entrance of the Forest Family. Once the car had co to a complete stop, Grandma Forest, without waiting for Kane, took Jane’s hand and entered the door directly.
Upon entering, Grandma Forest imdiately raised her voice powerfully and called out, "Old man, I’ve brought back your granddaughter-in-law."
At this call, an elderly man ca downstairs, and even Father Forest and Mother Forest, who had been sitting in the living room, looked towards the door.
"Ah, it really is that girl from Twitter." Mother Forest got up, her face imdiately showing an extrely happy expression. Upon seeing Kane follow the two inside, Mother Forest asked, "I was wondering why I couldn’t find your grandma after waking up from my lunch break. I asked the nanny, and she said she’d taken soone out to find people. So it turns out she was out looking for you and your girlfriend, right?"
The happiness on Mother Forest’s face was genuinely unfeigned, a very real and sincere joy.
"Mom," Kane shook his head, "Miss Sampson is not my girlfriend."
Jane quickly nodded in agreent, then proactively greeted the seniors sitting inside, "Uncle Forest, Aunt Forest, I’m Jas Black’s wife."
Having said that and seeing various expressions on the faces of everyone in the room, Jane imdiately explained, "All that stuff on Twitter is nonsense. The hairpin was a Valentine’s Day gift from Gary Black, and the photo with President Forest was taken when we happened to et at a charity auction event and were caught on cara during a brief greeting."
"Jas Black’s wife, huh," Mother Forest’s tone held a bit of regret, "I was saying, with Kane so cold, how could he have possibly found a girlfriend? After waiting so many years, he hasn’t even had a boyfriend."
"Mom," Kane’s expression turned icy.
Jane stood there and secretly chuckled. This family was truly interesting; no wonder they had characters like Jasmine Seven and Alexander.
Old Sir Forest, hearing the na Gary Black, nodded, "Oh, the wife of that guy, Gary Black? I haven’t seen that fellow in a long ti. Back when he got married, I wasn’t feeling very well and didn’t attend your wedding. It was only Alexander who went, right?"
Seizing the opportunity, Kane managed to coax Grandma Forest upstairs and had the nanny watch over her. He then ca back downstairs and explained to the family seniors the matter of Jane accompanying them to the Forest ho.
"So that’s how it is; we are truly sorry," Father Forest said, apologizing at once, "My mother, she’s of an age now, and she’s beco like a child in her ways. Miss, I’m sorry for causing you trouble."
"It’s no problem, Uncle," Jane waved her hand and smiled.
"The girl is nice, too bad she belongs to the Black Family," Old Sir Forest murmured to his daughter-in-law at his side, "It’s also my fault for not having the foresight like Old Black, to secure a wife for Kane earlier. Look, Gary Black’s temperant isn’t much better than our Kane’s, yet he’s had a wife for many years."
