"No need," Jas Black flatly refused, seeing the TV advertisent had ended, he glanced over just to find Jane Sampson’s head blocking his view. Without hesitation, he pressed the person on his lap, her head into his arms, secured it against his chest with his right hand, and then turned his attention back to the news.
Caught off guard, Jane let out a yelp of pain as her nose smacked into him. She raised her hand and gave Jas’s right arm a slap.
"Your muscle feels like it’s made of granite!" Jane complained, and then she pushed away from Jas, taking a mont to catch her breath on the side.
Hearing the low chuckle coming from beside her, Jane couldn’t resist and stealthily rolled her eyes before climbing off the sofa and heading to the bedroom to take a bath.
Jane had brought her own clothes, and moreover, Jas’s place was stocked with her basic living necessities.
As Jane was rummaging through the cabinet for a bath towel, Jas appeared behind her, bath towel in hand. "I washed it last ti and put it in this cabinet."
Jane turned to look, reached out to take it, and giggled, "Thanks."
No sooner had she spoken than Jas took the pajamas from her hand, put them right back in the wardrobe, and retrieved a dress instead, saying, "Since you’re afraid of the heat, just wear a PJ dress at night."
With that, Jas left the bedroom and went back to the living room to continue watching his news.
Jane snorted at the pajamas Jas had forcefully switched out for her.
If she didn’t know what was on Jas’s mind, then she, Jane Sampson, might as well write her na backwards!
His left hand still hadn’t fully recovered, and last ti he had complained about how hard it was to remove her matching set of pajamas. Knowing she was going to take a bath, he purposely ca over pretending to be considerate and caring about her dislike for the heat, offering her a shirt-style PJ dress instead.
After all, for Jas, who was only handy with his right hand, what he liked best was her wearing the kind of dress he could unbutton with just one hand, right?
In Jane’s wardrobe at ho, there were always two styles of pajamas.
One kind consisted of a matching set, with a jacket and pants, which she would wear when she shared the bed with Jas upon his return ho.
The other was a variety of beautiful PJ dresses, which she liked to wear when she was alone.
The shirt-style PJ dress she was holding had been brought by Jas from ho to her here at the guard team’s place.
Jane hesitated in front of the wardrobe for a few seconds, but ultimately she didn’t switch back to the original pajamas and went into the bathroom instead.
All her preferred bath products were available in full sets at Jas’s place. After taking her bath, Jane hastily dried her hair and, once it stopped dripping, she erged from the bedroom.
The evening news had already finished, and Jas had switched to another channel that was airing a legal program.
Hearing the sound of her dragging shoes coming from the bedroom, he turned his head to glance in her direction.
Jane walked over, bent over from behind the sofa to look at Jas seated there, blinked her eyes, and pointed toward the kitchen with her finger, "Can I go eat ice cream now?"
"Hmm," Jas nodded.
With permission granted, Jane didn’t say another word, headed straight to the kitchen, carefully selected the largest vanilla-flavored ice cream, then excitedly seated herself next to Jas, smiling with her eyes nearly squinted into lines as she unwrapped it.
