Jane Sampson subconsciously reached for her mobile phone to follow him, and just as she was about to speak, Jas Black suddenly turned around and looked back at her, asking, "I’m off to take a bath, you following to take another one?"
Jas Black always had the ability to be a cheeky rogue with the straightest face.
Jane’s old face blushed, she shook her head, and quickly ran off, lying down on the sofa. Only after she heard no more of Jas Black’s voice did she sneak a peek from behind the sofa towards the bedroom.
Jas Black’s eyes seed to be on the back of his head, for just as she had a glance, he quickly turned around and looked back at her. Jane whooshed her head back behind the sofa.
After closing the bathroom door, Jas couldn’t hold back a smile, curling the corner of his lips as a low chuckle escaped him.
Really...
It was irresistibly amusing.
Regarding the Francis company issue, without Jas Black having people block it from beginning to end, and purposefully delivering the ssage that Francis Hot Spring Resort failed the fire inspection to Francis’ competitor, how could such information beco known with Francis’ capabilities?
The news was released by Jas Black’s people to Francis’ competitors, but the competitors had ideas of their own and directly posted the ssage on Twitter.
However, if it weren’t for Aunt Black’s effort to fuel the fire, a Twitter ssage about Francis wouldn’t have made it to the pop-up push notifications of the official Twitter, becoming public knowledge in a short amount of ti.
When it all boiled down, failing one fire inspection wasn’t a big issue typically; it would generally an the project needed so rectification in terms of fire safety and, once compliant, a re-inspection would suffice.
However, this incident fell upon the already sowhat conspicuous Francis company and was exacerbated by the stirring forces behind the scenes, naturally turning a small issue into a big event.
Only his silly daughter-in-law truly believed it was Francis’ competitor’s doing from start to finish.
Yet, these were details Jas Black did not plan to elaborate on with Jane Sampson. She didn’t need to know such details.
It was just that, upon hearing Jane speak so joyfully in praise of unrelated people and matters, there was a mont just now when he couldn’t help but respond to her out of reflex.
When Jas Black ca out after his bath, Jane Sampson was not in the living room or the bedroom, but on the balcony.
Hearing the running water, Jas walked towards the balcony and saw Jane washing his clothes.
Jas stopped for a mont at the entrance. The sound of the water masked his footsteps so that even though he was less than two ters away from her, she remained unaware of his presence.
Yet, he could hear her muttering while scrubbing his clothes, "Did this turtle jerk go rolling in the mud? Why are all the clothes covered in dirt?"
The corner of Jas Black’s mouth twitched almost imperceptibly.
Huh, turtle jerk.
It seems his list of nicknas had gained a novel entry.
These clothes were what Jas had changed out of last night, but she was right; he’d been crawling through the dirt for a long ti yesterday, so his clothes were caked in mud.
Because they were so dirty, he didn’t throw them into the washing machine, knowing they wouldn’t co clean easily, nor did he have the habit of asking subordinates to wash his clothes. So after his bath yesterday, he left them to soak on the balcony, thinking that after half a day, they might be easier to wash.
