Then, because Yvette Quick was fierce and wild enough, Julie Sampton really found herself isolated by the children in the great courtyard.
However, it wasn’t long before the Sampton family moved out of the great courtyard.
Thus, the kids that Julie Sampton used to play with in her childhood were just being kind to her for Jane Sampton’s sake, taking pity on her unfortunate circumstances for a while.
Anyway, later on, anyone who reminisced about being nice to Julie Sampton during that ti would feel so irritated they wished they could stab their own heart twice.
Old Watson sang three songs on stage, got his fill of fun, then hopped off the stage and returned to the private room on the second floor with everyone.
It wasn’t that there wasn’t a booth arranged for them, but Jas Black did not agree; Jane Sampson had been sitting downstairs for so long, and although they kept her in the middle, hidden for the ti being, if she stayed in the booth, it was bound to be discovered by others.
Probably because she was happy at heart, and she was with her good friends, Jane Sampson couldn’t control herself after returning to the private room and drank quite a bit of wine.
When Old Watson ca over to drink with her, the wine in front of her had turned into fruit wine, sweet to the taste. Taking advantage of Jas Black’s lack of attention, she had several cups in a row with Old Watson.
When Jas Black finished chatting with Thomas Lancaster and subconsciously looked over at Jane Sampson again, Jane Sampson was already sitting there with a rosy face, supporting her cheeks with both hands, her eyes curved in a smile.
Seeing that the cup in front of her was still full, Jas Black thought her face was red from the heat, so he didn’t give it another thought.
After the end of the show, when Jas Black went to call Jane Sampson to go ho, he noticed Jane Sampson’s sluggish response and realized that she might have drunk wine and was drunk.
"How much did she drink tonight?" Jas Black turned and asked the person who had been sitting next to Jane Sampson all evening.
"Not much, just four or five bottles, fruit wine, not very high in alcohol content." Old Watson pointed to the empty bottles by his feet, rather helplessly, "I saw she was drinking so readily, I thought after not seeing her for so many years, she’d built up her drinking capacity. How was I supposed to know, she’s still the sa."
"She’s just greedy," Yvette Quick said, covering her forehead. "Do you have old age mory loss or what? Jane Sampson has always been a little greedy cat since she was a child."
Her body was weak as a child, and there were many things she could not eat, so she could only watch others eat, which turned her into a little greedy cat.
Yvette Quick’s most vivid mory is of Jane Sampson in the third or fourth grade of elentary school, when she was the girl cherished most ardently by the Sampton family. Because of her poor health, the Sampton family was very strict with her diet and other needs.
Back then, at the school entrance or the guard team’s small grocery store, spicy chips were sold for one cent each. They never lacked pocket money, and every weekend, they would buy a pile of spicy strips and chips to eat together in the pavilion.
Jane Sampson could only hold a bottle of milk and watch them. When she was really craving, she would lean in to sniff the snack pile, then look up at them pitifully while eating and ask, "How tasty is it? Is it spicy like ginger tea?"
Every ti she showed such a pitiful and helpless look, Yvette Quick and the others’ hearts softened, wanting to give Jane Sampson a taste, but Bright Sampson, the ever-present shadow, wouldn’t allow it, saying that Jane Sampson wouldn’t digest it well and would get sick after returning ho.
So, this craving flaw of Jane Sampson’s was really piqued by Yvette Quick’s group back in her childhood.
Clearly loving to eat, but only able to watch others eat and unable to eat herself, who wouldn’t get greedy and drool?
