Otherwise, how could Jane Sampson and her grandparents have such a good relationship? She visited them at the countryside whenever she had free ti, more dutiful than Julie Sampton, her own granddaughter, and even more thoughtful than him, her son. Each ti she went, she never arrived empty-handed but always brought their favorite foods.
Father Sampton was clear on this. He had always known that Jane Sampson was easily moved, especially when it ca to her family mbers in the house; she had always kept a sense of kinship.
But recently, Father Sampton noticed that this was no longer the case. She started to have argunts with everyone in the house, aside from Bright Sampton, including him, her father.
The last ti Jane Sampson had returned ho, Father Sampton hadn’t expected his own parents from the countryside to also co back suddenly. In front of Jane Sampson, he ntioned the conditions he and Old Master Black had proposed in the past.
When Jane Sampson left that ti, it was with despair, and Father Sampton was very clear about that.
"My mother is a senior, why should she, an elder, lower herself to please a foster daughter?" Julie stood on the corridor of the second floor and shouted angrily, "I will never allow my mother to please her! Even if Jane Sampson were a fairy, I would not allow it!"
"Julie is right. I am Jane’s mother; where does it make sense for a mother to ingratiate herself with her daughter?" Mother Sampton was already displeased deep down. Hearing Julie speak her mind made her even more confident in her refusal.
"Julie, you have no place to speak here. If you still want to join the company, you will go back to your room and stop interrupting," Father Sampton said, pointing a finger at her.
Fuming, Julie stamped her foot but still bit her teeth and returned to her room.
After Julie had left, Father Sampton spoke again, "I just said, Jane Sampson has good relations with President Forest of the Forest Clan Group. Don’t tell you don’t know who this President Forest is."
"I know." Mother Sampton nodded. How could she not know about such a big company as the Forest Clan Group?
She had encountered him several tis at banquets, and Kane Forest was always surrounded by a crowd. In her eyes, Kane Forest was soone high above the rest.
"President Forest is not yet married, and didn’t our parents say before that they wanted Julie to get married? I’ve been thinking, this President Forest is the most suitable choice," thought Father Sampton, who was very satisfied with Kane Forest, "If we could have the support of the Forest Clan Group, we would never worry about our livelihood again in our lifeti."
"As for the Black Family, it’s basically maintained by Jane Sampson now. I see that Jane is basically doing it for the face of her mom and dad. Our parents are getting old, and when the day cos that they leave us, Jane will basically have no attachnt to this house," said Father Sampton.
"As for Bright, that good-for-nothing kid is unreliable. Definitely, whatever Jane says, he’ll just listen. We can’t count on this kid to look out for our family’s interests when it cos to Jane," the re ntion of his only son made Father Sampton fu with anger.
"Our company is basically supported by the Black Family each year. If they ever stop managing us, our company will inevitably go downhill, and talking about bankruptcy is not to scare you. But if we could rely on the Forest Clan Group, even if the Black Family stops helping us, there will be no worries for the company at ho," Father Sampton said. "Kane Forest is the current person in charge of the Forest Clan Group. If Julie could marry him, we could connect with the Forest Family, and this is the most permanent solution."
