"Or..." Jas Black thought for a mont, then changed his tone, "If Amber Edwards withdraws her investnt, I can fill it in under my own na. I can be the new investor, and by tomorrow at the latest, I will send soone to find you in the film crew."
Jas guessed that the amount of money Amber Edwards could invest personally wouldn’t be too large, so he wouldn’t need to go through his company; he could take it out himself.
This would be quicker and less troubleso.
"Then that would be perfect!" Jas Chip was so happy he couldn’t close his mouth. With the big problem of Amber Edwards resolved, Jas Chip was overjoyed, his heart blooming like a flower.
He hadn’t expected today to turn his misfortune into such a fortuitous opportunity, losing half a day’s ti, but in exchange for a new investor, which was incredibly profitable. Jas Black had dropped Jane Sampson off at the crossroads at the bottom of the mountain and then didn’t go any further.
He let go of Jane’s hand and touched her face, "I’ll co to where you’re staying tonight."
Jane hmm’d and nodded, thought for a mont, and then cautioned, "Be careful not to let anyone find out a man is entering my room. I don’t exactly want to be on the headlines again the next day."
The corners of Jas Black’s mouth twitched imperceptibly, as what she said sounded suspiciously like they were up to no good.
Jas Black watched Jane Sampson and the others et up with the people at the bottom of the mountain before turning around and heading back into the mountain village. There were still so loose ends he needed to tie up. The reason Jane Sampson and her film crew were going up the mountain at this ti was partly due to so people shirking their duties, which had led to soone being kidnapped and almost resulted in loss of human life. These matters also needed to be held to account.
"Jane Sampson and the director have returned!" The entire crew was escorted downhill by the police and security guards, even Coco Edwards was brought down.
After Jas Black rescued Jane, he contacted the team and inford them that the hostage had been saved.
"Little Jane, are you alright? You scared to death!" Coco Edwards imdiately hugged Jane and burst into tears, "I don’t want to experience anything so terrifying in my life ever again. My soul nearly left my body."
"I’m fine, not a scratch on ," Jane soothed Coco, patting her on the back.
Jas Chip had already started recounting the grand deeds of Jane Sampson. Not content to tell the story by himself, he pulled another person into it, one playing Jane and the other playing the murderer, reenacting on the spot how Jane outwitted the murderer.
During this process, Jas Chip kept giving the performance over and over again, and even his occupational tendencies kicked in. He kept criticizing the actor playing the murderer, saying his expression was wrong when Jane stepped on his foot, and a mont later complaining that the shriek from his back-of-hand injury wasn’t convincing enough.
So, they attracted the attention of the police and security guards over there, and everyone, including the crew, watched with expressions of amazent and exclamations of awe.
When Jas Chip finished, everyone looked back at Jane Sampson with admiration on their faces.
Hibiscus Wood’s assistant breathed a sigh of relief next to her, whispering softly, "It’s a good thing it wasn’t you, Hibiscus, who was taken hostage. Otherwise, I can’t even imagine the consequences. That murderer was truly reckless, daring to charge even when he saw Jane holding a gun."
"With a gun, and another weapon, it was even scarier," another assistant said.
After dispersing from where Jas Chip was, everyone crowded around Jane, all asking her how she felt when she was kidnapped, and what was going through her mind when she fought back.
