"I thought I had killed soone," Jane Sampson said. "Every ti I closed my eyes, I could see Henry Bright sprawling on the ground with eyes wide open in a grimace, and the detail of the blood spraying out seed lucidly etched in my mory."
For the first ti in her life, Jane had encountered such a situation, the first ti she had seen soone die before her eyes.
She was just an ordinary person; how could she not be scared?
She was just better at concealing her emotions than others; she was just pretending to be unafraid like everyone else.
Like when she stabbed Henry Bright’s hand with a hairpin, and blood spattered on the back of her hand, she felt almost nauseous, but she had to snatch the gun from his hand as quickly as possible.
During Henry Bright’s counterattack, she hadn’t realized Jas Black was already nearby. When she fired the gun, her hands were shaking, and every ti she blinked, she fought hard to force the tears back.
Jas Black felt a slight pang in his heart, a kind of heartache that seed indescribable, yet it was so profound he couldn’t ignore it.
He felt sorry for her.
"But just now, when you said you were the one who had fired the gun, my heart unexpectedly felt relieved," Jane said. "I know I’m useless, but I truly felt relieved."
"You did well," Jas Black whispered, pressing his lips gently to her eyelids. "There were so many people in the film crew. If we had to switch you out for soone else as the hostage, our mission today wouldn’t have been completed so smoothly."
"You are great, fantastic," Jas Black softly reassured Jane. Anyone would panic at the ti of killing.
Even Jas Black himself was no exception. He too had taken a long ti to accept and adjust when he executed his first mission, firing a gun to kill a criminal.
And what about Jane Sampson, the girl who was still so kind-hearted?
"If today’s hostage had been soone else, they wouldn’t have had your abilities and courage to struggle against a gun-wielding murderer. Once they fell into Henry Bright’s hands, he would use the hostage to make us let him and his brother leave. Moreover, Henry Bright is very clever; he would use public opinion to pressure us. After taking a hostage, he would definitely let people know, using the star’s unique status to gain the attention of the entire internet realm."

What she feared most was becoming a nuisance, soone perceived as troubleso.
What she feared most was that those who had been kind to her would start to distance themselves because of it.
