For the next few minutes, Asher and Kimberley walked with small smiles on their faces as they talked, although Kimberley did most of the talking as she introduced various people to Asher. When she had said she possessed extensive knowledge of all four Empires, she had rely been underestimating her own knowledge.
Asher had to acknowledge that Kimberley might have travelled the entire world at this point, as she seed to know sothing about anyone who was even remotely prominent. She had even done more investigation for this Inter-Empire Competition so she could bet and win more money, sothing Asher himself couldn’t understand.
If the Elox family were the richest family in Crymora, he couldn’t understand why Kimberley would even want to bet and make more money. She probably spent more than she could ever win. But at the sa ti, rich people were hard to understand; they did things those of lower financial status couldn’t comprehend.
After all, it could simply be that Kimberley loved betting and might be one of those types who enjoyed gambling regardless of whether she won or lost her money.
Asher couldn’t help but link this attitude to Lady Tsunade.
Although he had these thoughts, Asher didn’t voice any of them. Instead, he viewed this as a chance to make a huge amount of money. Yes, he had a bank card with unlimited funds, but sadly, there was no bank in the Zarethorne Empire. Besides, even if Asher wanted to withdraw an unlimited amount of money from a bank through an ATM, who knew how that would even work, as FatelessPen hadn’t expected the specifics behind the design of the card.
Besides, there was a certain allure to betting.
Soon, they ca across another person who seed to be making waves. His body appeared radiant, as though he were the child of the heavens or sothing of that nature. He wore a light smile as he walked, his white teeth catching the light each ti he smiled. His lush golden hair rested upon his head like a crown, perfectly matching the colour of his eyes.
The boy carried himself as though he understood the power he wielded and the backing behind him, yet he wasn’t overly showy about it.
"Ohhh... he’s here," Kimberley spoke as she stared at the boy, who was surrounded by girls his age and even older won.
"Honestly, before you, this guy was the most handso person I’ve ever seen," Kimberley stated, as she seed to have a habit of ranking people based on their face cards.
"Who is he?" Asher asked. Although he didn’t say it aloud, he could tell the boy was strong, ridiculously so, a feeling he hadn’t gotten from Arianna.
"His na is Issac Wrath Chillstorm, the heir to the Thalvorn Empire, the only child of the Overlord Cynthia Wrath Chillstorm, the one who is said to possess even more talent than your brother, the First Sun," Kimberley explained as she stared at Issac from where she stood.
"More talent than my brother?" Asher replied, slightly confused, oblivious to the fact that Malrik was the standard line used to separate pure geniuses from outrageous monsters.
"Yes," Kimberley replied. "The First Sun reached the Crownstar Life Rank by the age of twenty-nine, a record no one had ever set before. Issac Wrath Chillstorm is said to be capable of breaking this record with his talent," she stated.
"Not that I believe it anyway, as the only person I believe to be as monstrous as the First Sun is Arianna Haellight," she added in a lower tone.
Asher stayed silent for a mont as he stared at the boy ahead of him, who seed to be around his age, and even if the boy was older, it couldn’t be by more than a couple of years.
Asher’s purple eyes turned towards Kimberley as he spoke in a teasing tone. "Aren’t you playing favourites? Arianna Haellight can match my brother in talent, but Issac can’t? You simply aren’t favouring Issac because he’s a man, right?" His tone was amused.
He didn’t really care about all this talk regarding Issac and Arianna matching or attempting to match his brother in terms of sheer talent. It simply had nothing to do with him.
"I’m not," Kimberley replied calmly. "I’ve heard the legends concerning the First Sun and the Primarch. They are the reason I visited the Ducal Wargrave Territory three tis, hoping to et them even by chance." She paused briefly before continuing. "I don’t believe such beings can be matched so easily. Although I’m a bit fanatical when it cos to Arianna, which I admit, I place her under the sa standards as the First Sun simply because of the uniqueness of her birth," she stated as her eyes shifted towards Issac.
"As for everyone else, they can only remain below that man known as the First Sun." She shook her head.
Although she had never t the First Sun, she rembered the way her father and mother spoke about him as though he were the perfect child they wished for. She had gathered information on the man, and every piece of information left her stunned and filled with awe.
To her, Issac, while talented, was still... not there yet.
Only Arianna Haellight could possibly match such ridiculous feats. After all, who could reach the Crownstar Life Rank at the age of twenty-nine and then reach the peak of that rank by the age of thirty-one? That was a span of rely two years, a ridiculous feat that no one had ever accomplished before.
Asher shook his head, not knowing what to say.
’It seems Malrik is famous in every corner of the world,’ Asher mused to himself, happy that he had such a powerhouse for an elder brother, soone he could simply send after his enemies without a shred of hesitation.
"I don’t know if you’re a fangirl of Arianna Haellight or my Elder Brother," Asher joked.
"Hah!!! Arianna Haellight all day," Kimberley replied without even stuttering.
Asher smiled and shook his head as he had already expected the answer. He wasn’t even the slightest bit surprised. A smirk appeared on his lips as he spoke in a tone akin to that of a demon whispering temptation into soone’s heart and ears.
"What if I help you et my Elder Brother? Would you be willing to switch sides then?" he asked in a low voice.
Kimberley froze for a mont, her head snapping towards Asher as her black eyes t his purple ones.
"Are you being serious??" she asked, her voice breaking.
"Depends on your answer," Asher replied with the sa tempting tone.
"I accept," Kimberley imdiately agreed, jumping ship instantly. "When do we get to et him?" she asked eagerly.
Asher didn’t speak. He simply raised his head towards the glass ceiling. He could sense a few people above him. The Nobles and every being of significant power were probably on the floor above them, just like during the Royal Twins’ Birthday Party.
"Well, not today. Although our parents are a floor above us, I’m sure my brother isn’t here, as he doesn’t like attending events like these," Asher replied as he tore his gaze away from the glass ceiling.
A smirk appeared on his lips as he added, "Besides, I’m now sceptical about you eting him. Look how fast you abandoned Arianna Haellight. What if soone offers you benefits to abandon my brother as well?" he teased with a sigh as he walked away, leaving Kimberley standing there.
Kimberley was stunned, she imdiately understood that she had been played by Asher.
’This motherfucker,’ she scread in her mind, cursing him internally but not daring to utter any such words aloud.
