The plan to buy information from the upperclassn was effectively dead, but the people in Class A didn't suspect it was one of their own who had leaked it. After all, who would do sothing so detrintal to their own class?
"I understand. No need to rush for now."
Shiki Natsu simply cald everyone down.
Besides, his own transaction wasn't over yet.
"What determines the distribution of school points?"
Horikita Suzune looked at Shiki Natsu again, a hint of urgency in her eyes.
"I don't know about that either. And... don't think you can buy all this information for a re sixty thousand personal points."
Shiki Natsu shook his head slightly. What a joke. The complete set of information he'd bought from the teacher cost two million personal points.
"Then for sixty thousand personal points, you're not just going to tell that one piece of information, are you?"
Horikita Suzune frowned.
"Of course not. There's another thing about this school: 'Anything on campus can be purchased with points.'"
Even things forbidden by the school could be bought. It was just a matter of the price one had to pay if caught.
Just now, Totsuka Yahiko had said private transactions were impossible. In reality, it wasn't that they were impossible, but that the consequences of being discovered had beco so severe that no one was willing to take the risk.
"For example, it's the sa as you buying information from . You could even use your personal points to permanently buy this very seat in the café."
Shiki Natsu rephrased it and continued.
"Buying this seat is aningless, but I understand what you're saying. I can buy information from others too, right?"
Horikita Suzune replied coolly. After Shiki Natsu's explanation, she was starting to get it.
"That's right. If you wanted to join the Student Council, even if you lacked the ability, as long as you have enough points, I imagine you could get in."
Shiki Natsu once again shifted the topic to Horikita Manabu. He found that whenever Horikita Manabu was ntioned, Horikita Suzune would beco slightly nervous.
"Even that's possible?"
Horikita Suzune's voice trembled slightly.
"That's right."
Shiki Natsu nodded. Seeing her shocked expression was quite enjoyable. If it weren't for that other damn business, Shiki Natsu's mood would be even better.
"Alright, the last piece of information. It's less information and more of a personal guess of mine. The class assignnts at this school aren't random; they're deliberate. Class A is the best, followed by Class B and C, and finally, Class D."
Hearing this, Horikita Suzune's frown deepened. She looked at Shiki Natsu with eyes full of disbelief, as if to ask, 'A guy like this can get into Class A?'
Hmm... quite rude. Not to brag, but Shiki Natsu had at least placed seventh on the entrance exam.
"Impossible. That's just your guess, isn't it?"
Horikita Suzune thought for a mont and ca to a conclusion. Of course, the most important factor influencing her opinion was a simple one—she was in Class D.
Even if the people around her weren't outstanding, she herself was exceptional. In middle school, she basically did nothing but study, aside from eating and sleeping. Sixteen hours of study ti a day. And her athletic ability was nothing to scoff at either; an average boy was no match for her. Soone like Yamauchi Haruki, for example, she could take down with ease.
"Those were words spoken by the upperclassn. Sothing blurted out like that isn't necessarily just a product of rivalry; it could be the truth."
The truth?
How could that be?
At least, Horikita Suzune was unwilling to believe it.
"Is this all the information you have?"
Horikita Suzune raised her eyes to look at Shiki Natsu, feeling like she'd been completely ripped off.
"Yep, that's right. Just knowing that it's not one hundred thousand points every month is enough for you to start taking asures, isn't it?"
Shiki Natsu nodded without a shred of guilt. What a swindler!
Horikita Suzune shot Shiki Natsu a fierce glare, picked up her school bag, and left without even taking a sip of the coffee on the table.
And Shiki Natsu had even paid for that coffee. What a waste.
Horikita Suzune didn't say anything more. Shiki Natsu was right; just knowing that it wasn't one hundred thousand points every month was enough for her to take action. For instance, she wouldn't spend points unnecessarily, and she'd drink less coffee. That would save quite a few personal points.
But unfortunately... she hadn't obtained the most crucial piece of information: how to maintain or increase next month's points. Did this guy really not know, or was he faking it?
Horikita Suzune was suspicious. In her mind, Shiki Natsu was now synonymous with 'bad guy'.
"Take care. Maybe we'll have a chance to do business again."
Shiki Natsu very naturally reached for the coffee across from him. Just as he was about to drink it, he was stopped by Horikita Suzune.
"That's mine."
After saying this, Horikita Suzune sat back down, downed the coffee in one gulp, and then stood up to leave. She couldn't let this guy get even a tiny advantage.
Shiki Natsu was stunned for a mont. He hadn't expected her to have this side to her. What a cheapskate.
He took out his phone and checked the ssages in the group chat. Many people were already proposing to spend two million yen to buy the complete information from Mashima Tomoya.
Of course, the final decision still rested with Shiki Natsu. His standing in their eyes was quite high now.
They could have their opinions, but only one person could make the final call, and that was Shiki Natsu. At least, for now.
Just as Shiki Natsu was about to reply, a private ssage ca in. It was from Sakayanagi Arisu.
As far as Shiki Natsu could rember, his relationship with Sakayanagi Arisu hadn't progressed beyond point transfers to the point of private chats.
Still, having a cute girl take the initiative to chat with him was quite nice. She must have been attracted by his charming personality. Maybe she was even going to confess to him on the first day of school.
"Where's your dorm?"
?
Shiki Natsu had thought his own ideas were a bit shaless, but he never expected the other party to be even more direct, asking for his dorm location right away.
Are girls these days so forward?
But...
Shiki Natsu considered her physical condition. Could she even handle it?
"There's sothing I'd like to discuss properly with Shiki-kun. I was the one who reported it."
Sakayanagi Arisu seed to have done it on purpose, waiting a few minutes before sending that sentence, sparking one's imagination.
The first part of the ssage was fine in Shiki Natsu's eyes, but the second part completely soured his mood.
The mole revealed herself?
"Why did you do that?"
Shiki Natsu couldn't figure out Sakayanagi Arisu's thought process. What benefit was there for her in doing this?
She should know that the money from selling the information was supposed to be split evenly. Did she just hate seeing everyone else do well?
"I'd like to discuss this matter with Shiki-kun in person. Is that alright?"
Sakayanagi Arisu didn't answer Shiki Natsu's question, instead requesting a eting once again.
What on earth does this girl want?
Shiki Natsu really couldn't understand. A girl coming to a guy's room late at night... that wasn't right, was it?
"Building X, Room XXX."
