On the way to the dormitory building.
"Takada-san is quite an."
Sakayanagi Arisu walked with a cane, her pace slow, a faint smile on her face. "To think you claid this was your first ti playing chess. Are you trying to humiliate ?"
It wasn't that Sakayanagi Arisu was bragging, but in chess matches, she had never lost to anyone. Yet, in their recent exchange, Takada Hikaru had claid to be a newbie, saying today was his first ti playing chess.
Who are you trying to fool?
Takada Hikaru shook his head. "I have no intention of humiliating you, I'm just telling the truth."
Before this, he didn't even know how to play chess. If it hadn't been for the skill "God on the Board" obtained through the system, he probably wouldn't even have known which piece to move first.
"Takada-san really likes to lie." Sakayanagi Arisu said with a beaming smile. "I wonder how many girls have been deceived by Takada-san's lies."
Takada Hikaru sighed helplessly, "Sigh, nobody believes the truth anymore, this era is truly sorrowful."
"Heh." Sakayanagi Arisu chuckled coldly.
She didn't believe a single word he said.
"Takada-san is in such a hurry to collect points. You must have noticed the strange things about this school, right?"
Sakayanagi Arisu looked over calmly. "Shall we exchange information?"
From the very beginning, this school had been hiding things and misleading students.
It was just like a magician's performance.
To hide their true actions, magicians use words, gestures, and other thods to divert the audience's attention. The school's actions were naturally the sa.
They specifically used the 100,000 points to attract everyone's attention, thereby hiding the things that truly required attention.
Sakayanagi Arisu was naturally able to see through such clumsy concealnt, so on the first day of school, she used her advantage of still having the 100,000 points to compete against the upperclassn.
Originally, she had already earned over a million points, enough to live comfortably for the entire school year. Yet, unexpectedly, she had lost 800,000 points to Takada Hikaru in the blink of an eye.
In her view, Takada Hikaru was undoubtedly a student with great strength. If it were him, he would certainly be able to discover the strange things about the school as well. Perhaps he could even discover things that even she hadn't noticed.
"There's no need." Takada Hikaru said confidently. "Cooperating with friends might increase efficiency, but exploring alone is much more interesting."
"Takada-san is quite confident," Sakayanagi Arisu said, narrowing her eyes as she watched the boy beside her.
"A person without confidence wouldn't bet all their points to compete against soone else."
"That's true."
The two chatted as they made their way to the dormitory building.
The Advanced Nurturing High School student dormitory housed both boys and girls in the sa building.
Boys lived on the lower floors, while girls lived on the upper floors, so there was an elevator.
Takada Hikaru and Sakayanagi Arisu stepped into the elevator, preparing to go to the upper floors where the girls lived first.
Just then, a girl's anxious voice rang out from outside.
"Please wait!"
A tall girl ca running over in a hurry.
Seeing this, Takada Hikaru held the elevator door, leaving ti for the girl.
"Whew... I made it."
The short-haired girl caught her breath, sweat beading on her forehead.
"It would have been fine even if you didn't sprint, I would have waited for Sayo-san." Takada Hikaru said with a smile.
"Eh?" Andō Sayo blinked, looking surprised.
"I thought it was just soone with a similar back, but it really is Takada-san."
She had just been walking behind Takada Hikaru and Sakayanagi Arisu. When she saw a back similar to Takada Hikaru's, she thought about going over to say hello. But when she saw the petite, white-haired girl beside Takada Hikaru, she dismissed the thought.
"I thought that since Takada-san just arrived at school today, you wouldn't have made friends so quickly, so I thought it was just soone with a similar back." Andō Sayo said with an embarrassed smile.
"Sayo-san, you've misunderstood. Takada-san and I are indeed friends." Sakayanagi Arisu said with a slight smile.
As soone who could defeat her at chess, Takada Hikaru was qualified to be her friend. Perhaps in the future, he would be able to give her a big surprise.
"So you two knew each other before."
"We just t today."
"Huh?"
Andō Sayo's eyes widened, her expression one of surprise.
'Takada-san is actually this amazing, did he beco friends with such a cute girl on the first day of school?'
"Co to think of it, I haven't introduced myself. I am Sakayanagi Arisu from Class 1-A. We beca friends after playing chess in the Chess Club." Sakayanagi Arisu said politely.
"I am Andō Sayo from Class 1-B." Andō Sayo replied with a smile.
She then looked at Takada Hikaru with an admiring gaze. "I didn't expect Takada-san to know how to play chess, that feels very impressive."
To Andō Sayo, chess was a high-end ga that only big shots played. Soone like her couldn't even understand the rules.
"Weren't you planning to go to karaoke with your classmates, Sayo-san?" Takada Hikaru asked curiously.
"We already finished singing. Considering that we might need to buy a lot of daily necessities, we just sang two songs each and then ca here to the dormitory." Andō Sayo said with a smile.
"At this ti, there probably shouldn't be that many people." Takada Hikaru said.
The freshn from other classes should have returned to the dorms shortly after the entrance ceremony ended, and then co out to purchase daily necessities. Once the daily necessities were bought, those students might then go to karaoke or other entertainnt facilities to relax.
The students of Class 1-B did the opposite: they went to hang out first, then went to buy daily necessities, successfully avoiding the peak period.
"Takada-san, Sakayanagi-san, would you like to go to the nearby convenience store together later?" Andō Sayo invited.
She seed to be an extroverted socialite, easily inviting classmates she had just t.
"I'm sorry, I'd like to return to the dormitory to rest for a while first." Sakayanagi Arisu said, nodding gently as if apologizing.
"I don't have a problem with that."
Although Takada Hikaru had decided to beco a lone wolf in Class 1-B, a high-level lone wolf didn't need to do the opposite of others in everything.
"Then let's add each other as friends." Andō Sayo said, taking out her terminal.
After adding Andō Sayo as a friend, Takada Hikaru felt a gaze land on him. He looked down and saw Sakayanagi Arisu looking over.
"Do you want to add too?" Takada Hikaru asked with amusent, finding Sakayanagi Arisu quite cute like this.
"Then I'll be troubling you, Takada-san." Sakayanagi Arisu said, the corners of her lips curling up slightly.
