That night, sothing major happened in Qingcheng.
A drunkard was attacked on his way ho in the middle of the night. He suffered six broken ribs and a bruised face, leaving him bedridden at ho for half a year. When people found the drunkard at dawn, they called for ergency dical help. The most shocking part was that 200,000 in cash had been stuffed into the drunkard’s pockets.
The local news in Qingcheng reported as follows:

Gu Anxi, slurping instant noodles, turned off the TV. Just then, her cell phone rang, and she answered it.
The call was from Bo Xichen. "Miss Spider-Man, how’s your hand?"
Gu Anxi humd a noncommittal response. "I’m eating; kind of busy right now."
Bo Xichen chuckled lightly. "Gu Anxi, are you still going to pretend?"
She said, "Oh. I won’t pretend anymore. I did it. I was already holding back a lot."
On the other end of the line, Bo Xichen stood by the floor-to-ceiling windows of a conference room. He had returned to Beicheng for a dical summit and hadn’t expected his ’little friend’ to cause such an uproar in Qingcheng during the one or two days he’d been away. Yet, when he found out, he wasn’t angry at all. In fact, he felt a slight sense of pride, as if this was exactly the kind of thing Gu Anxi would do.
His voice deepened slightly. "I’m coming back tomorrow."
She just said, "Oh. Then you should get back to your work. I’m fine."
"Don’t you have anything you want to tell , Gu Anxi?" he asked in a low voice.
Gu Anxi forked up a mouthful of noodles with her chopsticks. After thinking for a good while, she said, "Uncle, I’m short on cash. Could you send my salary?"
Bo Xichen smiled. "I’ll have Feng Mian transfer it to you. Also, don’t eat instant noodles when I’m not around."
"I’m eating them right now," Gu Anxi stated bluntly.
Bo Xichen realized that even over the phone, he was helpless against her. Moreover, the break in his eting was almost over, so he had to end the call. "I’m coming back tomorrow. Pick up at the airport." He hung up as she was saying "Hello? Hello?"
He’s totally exploiting my labor, Gu Anxi thought. He clearly has a car parked at the airport, but he still wants to pick him up. As she was grumbling, her phone chid with a WeChat ssage from Bo Xichen. It contained his flight details.
"Capitalists are all bloodsuckers," Gu Anxi muttered.
anwhile, Bo Xichen dialed Feng Mian’s number. "Transfer 20 million to Gu Anxi’s account."
Feng Mian was no longer surprised; he simply sent back a question mark in reply.
Bo Xichen smiled gently, his slender fingers typing a few words into the input box: ’Family support funds!’
On the other end, Feng Mian exclaid internally, Damn! While transferring the money, he grumbled, Twenty million for family support funds! Why wasn’t I, Feng Mian, born a woman?
After hanging up, just as Bo Xichen was about to return to the conference table, a gentle voice called from behind him, "Xichen."
Bo Xichen turned and stepped slightly to the side. "Second Uncle."
The person who had arrived was Bo Qing, the youngest elder of the Bo family, only in his early thirties. Bo Qing was not a biological son of the Bo family but an adopted one. However, the Bo family had never treated him as an outsider, and even Bo Xichen respectfully addressed him as Second Uncle.
