That sa night, in the small research building at Yunxi Hospital, the scene was completely different.
Gu Anxi independently conducted a dical experint, her clean and efficient technique earning praise from Dr. Bo.
After taking a shower, she walked into the bedroom wearing his black shirt.
Bo Xichen was sitting on a sofa, reading through so files. The Bo family’s vast enterprise and intricate network of connections ant there was always a great deal of work.
Gu Anxi went over and hugged his arm. "Aren’t you finished yet?"
"Mm... just a little longer." He paused, glancing at her strangely. "Gu Anxi, stop fooling around!"
But the clingy little imp kept teasing him. Bo Xichen had no choice. He closed the file in his hands, then pulled her close, pressing her against the sofa back. He asked, quite seriously, "Are you speaking to now as Luo Lin, as the honorary president, as the president of Qing University’s student union, or as a Nobel laureate?"
Gu Anxi tilted her head up to him, her small face fair and rosy. She wrinkled her little nose. "Bo Xichen, is this how you treat your honorary president? I’m your superior, you know."
Bo Xichen held his ’boss’ from the education world captive, teasingly tornting her until she begged for rcy. "Okay, okay... I won’t dare!"
Her small hands toyed with the expensive fabric of his shirt on his shoulder as she whispered, "Aren’t I your little darling?"
Bo Xichen drew a sharp breath, recalling the endearnts he’d murmured that night when he’d been ’tutoring’ her and passion had flared. Instantly, his entire deanor shifted. He murmured, "Gu Anxi, care for another ’tutoring session’?"
She wrapped her arms around his neck, a blush creeping up her face. "Just one ’lesson’ then. I’m really tired today."
Bo Xichen chuckled softly. Indeed, no matter how brilliant or formidable she was out in the world, when they were alone, she was just his clingy little imp, utterly captivating.
His heart pounded, and a warmth spread through him. Then, he focused on ’tutoring’ her...
「The next day,」 the students in Class Two of Qing University’s Art Departnt noticed Gu Anxi sleeping in class yet again.
Gu Anxi must have been burning the midnight oil again, they all mused. Success doesn’t co without reason; it’s clear she studies day and night.
After class, Gu Anxi headed straight to the library. Bo Xichen had been using it as his office these past few days.
When she arrived, he was on the phone, seemingly discussing the ’Jing’ elent. Gu Anxi flopped onto the sofa, listening absently until he hung up.
Bo Xichen walked over and leaned down. "If you’re going to sleep, cover yourself with a small blanket."
Gu Anxi just stared at him. After a mont, she finally grumbled, "You old n are terrifying."
Bo Xichen lightly tapped her head with his phone and chuckled. "Wasn’t it you who asked for ’tutoring’?"
Gu Anxi nibbled on her finger. "I only said one ’lesson’."
Professor Bo settled back behind his desk, casually flipping through a docunt. After a mont, he chuckled. "My apologies. I got carried away."
"Actually," he continued, his voice smooth and pleasant, "next ti, you could also try using your authority as honorary president to order to stop the ’tutoring’... You can see if that works." Outsiders would never guess the... *implication*... behind his words!
Gu Anxi bristled a little, then pulled the small blanket over herself and curled up to sleep.
The room was quiet for a mont before Bo Xichen suddenly spoke. "The court hearing is in a couple of days. Once it’s concluded, my parents are planning to co to Qingcheng. Will that be inconvenient for you?"
Gu Anxi sat bolt upright, her face warming. "Bo Xichen, so soon?"
He didn’t speak, rely gazing at her quietly with his icy eyes.
