It was almost eleven in the morning. Fang Ming, the academic star of Beicheng University’s Computer Science Departnt, ca to the hospital to have his bandages removed. He had mostly recovered, and after the removal, he decided to visit an elder who was hospitalized.
As he was about to leave, his gaze suddenly fell upon a girl lying on her side in one of the patient rooms—
Her face was buried in the side of her pillow. Her shoulder-length hair, dark and straight, frad her small face, making it appear even more delicate and ethereal. At this mont, due to her illness, she exuded a fragile kind of beauty.
Fang Ming was sowhat spellbound, and he stopped in his tracks.
Is that... Gu Anxi?
In his mory, Gu Anxi was always cool and distant, even a bit arrogant, not soft and vulnerable like she appeared now.
Mrs. Fang turned around. "Fang Ming, what are you looking at so intently?"
Fang Ming lowered his gaze. "Nothing, my shoelace ca untied."
Mrs. Fang didn’t suspect a thing. Her heart aching for her son’s broken ribs, she bent down to tie his shoelace for him, complaining all the while, "That young daughter-in-law of the Bo Family is just too aggressive. Look at you, a strong young man, and you got your ribs broken by her! Who knows how fierce she really is in private! I just don’t see her and that Bo family fellow lasting."
Fang Ming smiled faintly, his gaze drifting back towards the room once more.
Just then, Mrs. Bo happened to walk over to Gu Anxi’s bedside. She gently caressed her precious little one’s face, her own heart aching so much it felt like it would shatter...
A strange feeling suddenly arose in Fang Ming’s heart. "Mom, let’s go!"
When Fang Ming arrived at Beicheng University, the campus was swept up in an uncharacteristic wave of euphoria.
A renowned national organization had visited the university. It was confird: the sensational paper had indeed been submitted by a Beicheng University student. Now, the top director of the organization had personally co, expressing a wish to et the author.
President Shen of Beicheng University was ecstatic, rubbing his hands together incessantly. "Thank you for your kind attention to our Beicheng University! You see, our students are so dedicated to their studies that they’ve been too modest to admit submitting it. Can the na be announced now?"
The surrounding deans and professors all chid in, exclaiming how remarkable it was, how Beicheng University was truly outstanding!
We’re leaving sister institutions in the dust, especially Qing University, by miles!
In the midst of praises from the professors, President Shen felt like he was having the best mont of his life, a hint of smugness appearing on his face.

The organization’s head, Director Tang, was taken aback. "What mistake?"
The assistant slapped his thigh. "The paper’s author is indeed at Beicheng University, that’s correct, but their official student registration is with Qing University!"
"Is that so?" Director Tang was also bewildered. He was only concerned with appreciating the paper and applauding it; he truly didn’t know about these minor details.
While Director Tang and the assistant were talking back and forth, the president and professors of Beicheng University were completely dumbfounded.

President Shen finally processed the information. He said slowly, "Didn’t Beicheng University take in two students from Qing University? Quickly, call them over."
At this, Professor Li from the Computer Science Departnt smiled. "Gu Anxi from our departnt is on sick leave. She’s currently in the hospital."
However, a professor from the Fine Arts Departnt spoke up. "Wang Qin from our departnt is here... But both these students were in the Fine Arts Departnt at Qing University. They shouldn’t have any connection to chemistry, right? Could there be a mistake?"
Other professors also found it improbable, especially Professor Liu, the Head of the Computer Science Departnt. "I’ve tested that student. Her aptitude is genuinely average. It’s highly unlikely to be her."
President Shen, upon hearing this, looked towards Director Tang from the organization.

An absolute silence fell over the surroundings.
From the president to the departnt deans, then the professors... and even the top academic achievers of each departnt—everyone fell silent.
It’s actually Gu Anxi! Isn’t she a slacker? Didn’t she only get into Beicheng University because of the Bo Family? Plus, she’s an art student! Is there so mistake?

Wang Qin ca running, her face flushed from exertion. "I knew all along it was our Anxi!"
In the office, Director Tang sat drinking tea, unhurriedly waiting for them to sort out this conundrum.
President Shen stood with his hands on his hips. "Student Wang, tell everything, blow by blow. How were Student Gu’s grades at Qing University?"
Wang Qin scratched her head. "They were... inconsistent..." She quickly added, "It depended on her mood. When she wasn’t in a good mood, she’d fail. When she was in a good mood, she could actually score quite well."
Professor Liu interjected, "See? Didn’t I say so? It’s unlikely to be Gu Anxi. How could she win one of the country’s top awards? That’s sothing even the top students in Beicheng University’s Chemistry Departnt can’t do."
President Shen hesitated.
Wang Qin raised her hand and said softly, "That’s not true... Anxi has many trophies at ho. Last ti, Mother Gu ca and brought a cartload of them—all gleaming gold. President Wang said they were pure gold. Mother Gu also ntioned there were even more at ho, too many to bring over."
They were all sowhat stunned. A cartload of trophies? What does that even an?
Director Tang was still leisurely sipping his tea.
At this, Professor Liu said dryly, "They couldn’t be so awards from unrecognized institutions, could they?"
Wang Qin looked quite unhappy. "I don’t know about the others, but I do know one of them is for the most famous chemistry award. I’ve forgotten its na... I took a picture of it on my phone."
Saying this, she took out her phone.
President Shen, Professor Liu, and the others all crowded around. Even Director Tang put down his teacup and went over to look...
Then, everyone froze, utterly speechless for a long mont.

Because it was the Nobel Prize in Chemistry!

Wang Qin murmured, "Is that very impressive?"
What do *you* think? Everyone stared at her, then silently turned their gaze back to the photo.
Just then, soone remarked sourly, "We don’t even know if that English na ’AN’ is actually Gu Anxi, you know."
Wang Qin grew even more displeased. "Why wouldn’t it be? Anxi has applied for the Nobel again this ti because she has a new experintal discovery. She’s already been shortlisted. You’ll all know when the award is announced!"
