Tang Yuan followed him into the study. "Yuanshan, what’s the situation?"
Gu Yuanshan gave his wife a reassuring smile. "Don’t worry. Feng Mian has agreed and signed the contract. It was a bit expensive, but we can finally ensure justice for our daughter."
Tang Yuan nodded. "That’s good."
Gu Yuanshan pulled his wife to sit down. "I happened to et Zhou Yunchen while discussing matters. Guess what I found out?"
Tang Yuan quickly asked, "Is it related to Jing?"
Gu Yuanshan nodded. "Exactly! Thanks to Congwen’s connection with Zhou Yunchen, he has agreed to introduce us to the big boss of An Pu. Yuanyuan, you’ll have to handle the social aspects then."
Upon hearing this, Tang Yuan was sowhat reluctant.
She understood that ’handling the social aspects’ ant accompanying them for drinks, sothing her current status no longer made appropriate. If word got out, it would harm her reputation. She knew perfectly well that Huang Mao hadn’t actually done anything to her; he had only provided ergency first aid. Her desire to sue him stemd purely from her dislike of him. Discovering he was Gu Anxi’s friend only made her more determined.
So, this incident cast no shadow over Gu Mingzhu. She would continue to be a writer and screenwriter, while a commoner like Huang Mao deserved to be in jail.
Seeing Gu Mingzhu in good spirits, Tang Yuan was quite pleased and relayed what Gu Yuanshan had told her earlier.
Gu Mingzhu secretly hoped the Gu family could secure the agency rights for Jing. If they did, everyone would look at them with new respect, and it was even possible the Gu family could then rival the Bo family.
By then, Gu Anxi would be insignificant. The mont her movie was released, all eyes in Beicheng would be focused solely on her, Gu Mingzhu.

"No way! That girl is too vicious!" Huang Mao snorted.
Gu Anxi chuckled. "Good, as long as you don’t go soft! Don’t ss up when the ti cos; that’ll be your mont in the spotlight. The foremost socialite of Beicheng groveling and apologizing to you!"
Huang Mao spoke crudely, "I don’t care what kind of socialite she is. To , she’s no different from those won you can get for a few hundred. Nothing special about her."
Only his Boss was truly imposing; and when she decided to be feminine, she was the most beautiful of all.
Huang Mao sniffed. "Boss, I gotta go. My drama is starting."
Gu Anxi chuckled, hung up, and then expertly tossed the pear core into the trash bin. Just then, soone walked in, and it hit them squarely.
It was none other than Bo Jin.
"Auntie, I’m so sorry, so sorry!" Gu Anxi, seeing who it was, imdiately tried to curry favor, rushing to wipe it off her.
Bo Jin chided with a laugh, "Too lazy to walk three steps to the bin, were you?"
Gu Anxi laughed sheepishly. Bo Jin tapped her lightly on the head and decided not to make a big deal out of it. "Kiddo, co here and look at the terms Disney has proposed."
She handed a draft contract to Gu Anxi. After reading it from beginning to end, Gu Anxi said, "The terms are quite good, and the copyright fee they’re offering is very high."
Bo Jin smiled. "Yes, a copyright fee of five hundred million. That’s quite sincere. What do you think?"
Gu Anxi hesitated for a mont. "I only have two conditions. First, I must be the head screenwriter, and any changes to the plot must have my approval. Second, the distribution company in China must be Xinli Culture."
Bo Jin frowned. "Xinli Culture? Is there anything special about it?"
Gu Anxi cleared her throat. "It’s a publicly listed company I acquired."
Bo Jin understood imdiately and showered her with praise for a mont. "That’s my Kiddo! With the movie being a blockbuster, the company’s shares will skyrocket. You’ll be raking it in again!"
Gu Anxi smiled and picked up another pear to munch on.
Bo Jin eyed her. "Eating so much this late at night... Aren’t you afraid of a stomach ache?"
She then felt Gu Anxi’s arm. "And you’re still so thin after eating all this."
Gu Anxi: Umm... Can I explain why?
Bo Jin looked delighted. "Once the contract is signed, I’ll organize a press conference for you to build up so hype."
Gu Anxi didn’t refuse. Movies need promotion, after all, though it’s still early for that.
She seed to recall that Gu Mingzhu’s movie was about to start filming. It was being held by the renowned Director Nie, and the lead actor and actress were both skilled... Gu Mingzhu must be feeling quite smug right now.
Gu Anxi disliked comparing herself to others, nor did she deign to. However, that didn’t an she would simply endure it if soone tried to step on her. When necessary, she would definitely strike back.
Bo Jin stayed for a little while longer before returning to her own place. Bo Xichen erged from the study. "Auntie was here?"
Gu Anxi humd in acknowledgnt. "She stopped by."
He walked straight over, took the contract from her hand, glanced at it, and then smiled. "Look at you, all successful now!"
Gu Anxi practically purred, "Decent, I suppose."
Bo Xichen set the contract aside, ruffled her hair, and said with a perfectly straight face, "I’m going to take a shower first. Then, you get a reward."
Gu Anxi’s face turned slightly red. She stamred, "Uncle, that’s... really not necessary."
"I think... it’s very necessary." He smiled, ruffled her hair again, and then went to take his shower.
