He slept until about four in the afternoon. After waking and having a hurried al, he then went to help Gu Yuntian with his physical examination.
Wang Keru waited anxiously, not daring to ask.
Gu Anxi was also there, nervously watching Bo Xichen.
"There are no issues." He removed his mask and gave a few instructions to a nearby nurse.
Afterward, they stayed by the hospital bed, waiting for Gu Yuntian to wake up.
The sky slowly darkened...
At eight o’clock in the evening, just when everyone thought he wouldn’t wake up that day, Gu Yuntian’s hand twitched slightly, followed by his eyebrows.
Everyone imdiately gathered around. Gu Anxi’s palms grew sweaty from nerves.
Gu Yuntian finally awakened.
He quietly gazed at his familiar wife and daughter, tears welling in the corners of his eyes.
His lips moved, but no sound ca out. From their shape, however, it was clear he was trying to say "Anxi."
"Dad, I’m here! I’m alright." Gu Anxi’s eyes filled with tears. She pulled Bo Xichen over, her voice urgent, "Dad, I’m twenty-one now, and I even have a boyfriend! Isn’t he handso?"
Gu Yuntian rested quietly, his gaze fixed on her face. After a mont, it shifted slowly to Bo Xichen.
He was a strikingly handso man with a remarkably gentle deanor.
Gu Yuntian closed his eyes slightly.
Tis have changed!
Wang Keru felt a little timid; her past indiscretions made her hesitant to approach. Granny Chen gave her a nudge. "What’s there to be scared of? Your maneuvering helped finish off the opposition! You’re a hero for that."
She was referring to Qin Han.
The atmosphere had been quite sothing, but now Gu Anxi found herself struggling not to laugh.
Granny Chen’s attempt at whitewashing was a bit too much...
Wang Keru finally summoned so courage and tremblingly walked over. She reached out and gently took Gu Yuntian’s hand, saying nothing.
After a mont, his hand moved slightly, but it was so weak he could only manage to gently tug one of her fingers.
At this, Wang Keru burst into tears.
Over the next two days, Gu Yuntian improved day by day. He could speak now and even move a little in his hospital bed. Gu Anxi briefly told him what had happened over the past three years. As for matters between her parents, she decided to let her mother talk to her father herself.
One evening, as dusk settled, Gu Anxi and Bo Xichen were strolling along a small path in Yunxi Hospital. Thinking about her father’s recovery, her heart softened, and she couldn’t help but lean against her uncle.
Bo Xichen smiled softly. "What’s the matter?"
Gu Anxi snuggled up to him, like a sweet, clingy kitten. "Uncle, I feel so happy!"
"Oh, really?" he smiled. "I was worried my performance wasn’t up to par these past few days, being so tired."
She stared at him for a few seconds, then bristled, playfully pumling him with small fists. After their bout of playful fighting, she once again leaned against him sweetly as they walked, like conjoined twins.
After a while, he said softly, "Returning to Beicheng tomorrow?"
She humd in agreent, knowing it had been very difficult for him to spare these few days.
Bo Xichen turned towards her and pinched her cheek. "You should stay. I wouldn’t feel at ease leaving this to anyone else."
He was referring to Gu Yuntian’s condition.
Gu Anxi was stunned, then an indescribable feeling washed over her. Her uncle... he really was so good to her.
Bo Xichen hugged her. "Be careful with everything."
She nodded obediently. "You too, Uncle."
He smiled. "And one more thing, don’t be too naughty."
Gu Anxi wrinkled her nose. "Uncle, you’ll miss , won’t you?"
"Nonsense." He pulled her into his embrace, giving her a playful little punishnt...
「The next day,」Bo Xichen left Beicheng early in the morning. As Gu Anxi watched his private jet take off, she imdiately contacted Zhou Yunchen. "The Jiang Family’s business is opening today. Has the flower basket been sent over?"
Heh. They dared to steal her man and even try to poach her Clearwater Azure Sky? Of course, she had to return the favor handsoly!
