King Jingyao had heard that she had made a perfu for Bo Xichen and jealously asked, "Would you make an exclusive perfu as well?"
"Sure. I guarantee it’ll be incredibly chic." Gu Anxi readily agreed and dragged Bo Xichen out to have so fun.
It seed like she hadn’t gone out to have fun for quite a while, mostly because her uncle was too busy with work.
As the Secretary-General escorted them out, he saw the Gu family father and daughter waiting despondently in the first-floor entrance hall. The Secretary-General excused himself, went over, and whispered, "Why are you still here? I’m afraid Mr. King doesn’t have ti to see you today."
Gu Yuanshan’s gaze fell on Gu Anxi. There was a hint of pleading in his eyes.
Gu Anxi replied calmly, "Sorry, I can’t help with that."
Gu Yuanshan sighed softly.
Gu Mingzhu couldn’t stand it any longer. "Gu Anxi, are you really trying to wipe us out?"
Before Bo Xichen could speak, Gu Anxi had already piped up, "Gu Mingzhu, are you out of your mind? Who’s trying to wipe out whom?"
Gu Mingzhu blurted out, "Dare you say the photos are fake?"
The girl, in her youthful impetuousness, said outright, "Brother Xichen, she and Mr. King really... have *that* kind of relationship!"
Furious, Gu Yuanshan slapped his beloved daughter’s face and roared, "Mingzhu, get out!"
Gu Mingzhu covered her face, tears streaming down. "Dad, you don’t believe ?"
It wasn’t that Gu Yuanshan didn’t believe her. It was just... he himself had pieced things together, and he could tell what King Jingyao’s intentions towards Anxi were. But could these things be said? By blurting them out so publicly, was she trying to get the Gu family wiped out? King Jingyao’s secretary was still nearby. Did she have no sense at all?
Gu Yuanshan cald down and said softly, "Go outside now and stay in the car. Don’t get out."
Humiliated, Gu Mingzhu turned to leave, but Bo Xichen spoke quietly, "Wait a mont."
Gu Yuanshan’s heart lurched.
Bo Xichen smiled slightly. "Mingzhu, you seem to think that if you’ve done sothing wrong, it’s a matter of course for others to forgive you."
Gu Mingzhu bit her lip. "I... Brother Xichen, she really hugged Brother Congwen. It’s absolutely true. Ask her yourself if you don’t believe ."
This ti, Bo Xichen looked at her.
Gu Yuanshan also looked at her, his gaze sowhat perplexed.
Gu Anxi touched her nose and admitted frankly with a smile, "That’s right, I hugged him! Shen Congwen is good-looking." She didn’t just think so herself; she wanted her uncle to think so too. "Uncle, isn’t Shen Congwen very handso?"
Bo Xichen looked at her. "Naughty."
Then he laughed. "He is quite handso."
This shocking plot twist left Gu Yuanshan and Gu Mingzhu utterly stunned.
Why wasn’t Bo Xichen angry even when Gu Anxi admitted to hugging Shen Congwen? And with King Jingyao in the picture as well... then wasn’t Bo Xichen far too magnanimous? It was simply unimaginable!
Gu Anxi didn’t want to waste any more ti talking to them, so she pulled Bo Xichen away. She wanted to go out for snacks and have so fun. Being Little Gu all the ti was so boring. Her subordinates were well-behaved, the perfu was developed and just waiting for launch, and that bunch of PhD students had incredibly strong career ambitions right now. It seed like there was nothing left for her to do...
Little Gu yawned. So boring!
After they left, Gu Mingzhu muttered, "Dad, they..."
Gu Yuanshan said coldly, "Regardless of what Bo Xichen thinks, the point is you shouldn’t say things that shouldn’t be said. And you even posted them online to slander Mr. King."
