Min Xin went over and looked at the pajamas she usually wore folded on the double bed. His throat choked up.
She hadn’t even taken those with her, let alone anything else.
In the walk-in closet, her clothes were neatly arranged, and all her jewelry was still there. She had left empty-handed, not even taking the 300,000 from her bank account.
Min Xin didn’t feel he had mistreated her. He was simply astonished that she, despite having nothing, still wanted to leave him.
Isn’t being surrounded by luxury good enough?
But he had never considered that for Zhou Yu, who had possessed these things by birthright, what she truly desired was love and mutual support. Yet, he had failed her.
Even if it ant hardship, she was determined to leave.
Min Xin sat on the sofa on the first floor, took a drag from his cigarette, and asked calmly, "How did she leave?"
His subordinates exchanged glances; none of them knew.
The servants stamred in fright, "The madam was still sleeping in the afternoon, and we didn’t dare disturb her. But when she hadn’t risen by eight o’clock, we sensed sothing was wrong..."
Min Xin erupted in fury.
But he was, after all, an important figure, so he quickly cald himself. Given Zhou Yu’s gentle nature, she wouldn’t have been able to leave this fortress-like villa by herself. She must have been taken away by soone. The thought of this possibility made him frantic.

Chen Ming was in the middle of a shower. Without even fully rinsing off the soap, he hurriedly threw on a pair of large shorts, gathered n from his team, and set off in a grand procession with Mr. Min.
Upon reaching the foot of the mountain, Chen Ming finally realized sothing was amiss. This is the Bo Family’s Si Garden!
Seeing Mr. Min looking as though he’d lost his wife, Chen Ming wondered, Is he here to confront the Bo Family? Did Anxi cause so trouble?
He had guessed right; Min Xin had indeed lost his wife!
Chen Ming discreetly took out his phone, intending to send a warning, but before he could make a move, Min Xin spoke calmly, "Chen Ming, if you send a ssage, you’ll be punished the sa way as Gu Anxi."
Chen Ming scratched his head. "Anxi is just a child. What could she possibly do? Surely she couldn’t have lured your wife away."
"Precisely. She did lure my wife away," Min Xin said, his face dark. "Once we reach the Bo Family’s estate, search imdiately. Don’t give her a chance to catch her breath."
Chen Ming asked deferentially, "So, do we cover her mouth the mont we see her, not letting her breathe?"
He asked cautiously, "What if we accidentally suffocate her? How would we answer to King Jingyao?"
Min Xin shot him another look. "Chen Ming, I haven’t seen you for a while, and your mind seems to have beco quite sharp. Have you been influenced by Gu Anxi? Stop beating around the bush with . I understand what you’re getting at. You’re just worried about offending King Jingyao, aren’t you?"
He narrowed his eyes. His wife had been abducted; he couldn’t be bothered with worrying about offending people now.
To Min Xin, his wife was as important as power and status!
Chen Ming gave an awkward chuckle. "How would I dare!" He then sat up straight and said no more.

More than a dozen black cars pulled up to the entrance of Si Garden. With such a large entourage, it was impossible for the Bo Family not to have noticed. Bo Nianyao and Lin Yun of the Bo Family were already outside, waiting.
Once the cars were parked, Min Xin alighted, exuding the imposing aura of a man of high status and great power.
Chen Ming, in uniform, along with dozens of his team mbers, escorted him, looking as if they were about to annihilate the Bo Family in one fell swoop.
Despite the overwhelming force bearing down on them, as if Mount Tai itself were about to collapse, Bo Nianyao appeared unfazed. He cupped his hands and said cordially, "Has Mr. Min co for a late-night snack at this hour?"
Min Xin, his face grim, ordered, "Search."
Chen Ming looked sowhat hesitant, but given Min Xin’s high position, he had no choice but to act.
At his signal, his subordinates prepared to breach the garden and enter.
Madam Bo stepped forward, blocking Chen Ming with a radiant smile, and said, "Are you here to ransack our ho and seize our assets? If so, we can gladly open our gates and hand over our valuables. If that satisfies you, perhaps you’ll spare our lives."
Chen Ming scratched his head. This Madam Bo is truly formidable. She slapped such a heavy label on us so effortlessly.
Seeing Chen Ming intimidated, Min Xin strode forward and kicked him. "Useless!"
He stepped forward and said coldly, "My wife, Zhou Yu, has been abducted."
Madam Bo gasped. "Was it our Xichen who did this?"
Then, looking at Bo Nianyao, she said, "This is all your doing, setting a bad example! If the upper beam isn’t straight, the lower ones will be crooked. See? Now people have co knocking on our door because of what you’ve taught!"
Bo Nianyao, though on the receiving end of his wife’s tirade, still spoke gently, "My dear, what are you saying? Xichen is at the hospital, in the middle of surgery. How could he possibly have ti to abduct soone else’s wife?"
Madam Bo nodded. "Oh, so the truth cos out! Mr. Min, you’ve clearly accused the wrong person. Our Xichen is innocent. You should look for your wife elsewhere!"
Bo Nianyao hesitated for a mont, then added, "Finding your wife is the most important thing. As for other... unntionable matters, I, Nianyao, do have so experience and insight!"
Min Xin was livid! Bo Nianyao was insinuating... that he had problems in *that* departnt!
