King Jingyao gave him a slight nudge with his foot, asking disdainfully, "Is he still alive?"
The Secretary-General cautiously said, "As they say, ill weeds grow apace."
"Well, that’s true." King Jingyao crouched down and checked. "He’s still breathing."
The Secretary-General imdiately ordered, "Hurry, take Mr. Min to the hospital!"
An ambulance was prepared at once. Min Xin was lifted into it, and the vehicle sped away.
Looking at the mansion that had been reduced to ashes, King Jingyao turned his head. "Has the cause been determined?"
A firefighter, who appeared to be the team leader, ca over. "Our initial assessnt suggests the fire started upstairs due to improper use of electricity."
King Jingyao said with so exasperation, "How spoiled was Zhou Yu by Min Xin before? She knows nothing! Fine, nothing ever went wrong when she was at that guy’s place, but as soon as she ca to my house, she sets a fire that burns it to the ground."
Wang Jingchuan coughed lightly. "I will send the reconstruction budget to Mr. Min."
King Jingyao nodded. "Fine! But that depends on whether this fellow even survives."
He then asked, "What about Zhou Yu? Is she alright?"
Wang Jingchuan made so inquiries and then smiled. "She’s fine. She’s at the hospital now."
King Jingyao dusted off his trousers and said, "Let’s leave this to them. We’ll go to the hospital."
The Secretary-General imdiately called for a driver, and the group set off for the hospital.
Zhou Yu was not in danger, having only suffered so smoke inhalation. She was resting at the hospital, where Yunxi Hospital’s best obstetrician had examined her and confird that the baby was unhard.
By the ti King Jingyao arrived, it was nearly noon. Everyone was exhausted after the tumultuous morning, so the Secretary-General arranged for lunch to be served at the hospital. While they ate, they casually discussed Min Xin’s situation.
Zhou Yu blinked. "He... is he alright?"
King Jingyao replied indifferently, "He’s been taken to the hospital. We don’t know if he’s dead or alive."
Zhou Yu lowered her head and continued to eat.

Mr. Wang and I had just returned and were still assessing the situation when Mr. Min, disregarding his own safety, rushed in. We couldn’t hold him back. King Jingyao raised an eyebrow. "Now that you ntion it, Jingchuan, I do recall a scorched sll."
He put down his bowl, looking as if he had lost his appetite. "Sigh, even though I don’t always agree with his thods, he’s been a colleague for many years. I certainly don’t wish for anything bad to happen to him."
Wang Jingchuan consoled him gently, "Don’t be too upset, sir. Even if his face is completely disfigured and he’s charred, as long as he’s alive, that’s what matters."
Zhou Yu held her bowl, completely unable to eat.
King Jingyao, in turn, tried to comfort her, "Zhou Yu, don’t feel too much pressure. Although he went in to save you, rember what he did to you in the past."

Zhou Yu sat alone on the sofa, absently flipping through a magazine. Even though she was in a luxury VIP room with the hospital’s best nurse attending to her, she still felt sowhat lonely.
She looked up and asked the nurse, "Has Mr. Min been brought to this hospital?"
The head nurse smiled. "Yes, he has. He’s on the 38th floor. It seems they managed to save him."
