The three mbers of the Bo Family were all shocked.
Bo Qing stepped out of the bamboo forest, pushing aside a green bamboo stalk. Beside him stood Song Jia, along with ten or so n dressed in black, all wearing masks.
"These are top-level experts from the Dark," Gu Anxi said, grinding her fine white teeth. "It seems Bo Qing knew we were here all along, but he miscalculated one thing."
Standing back to back, Bo Nianyao asked softly, "What should we do now?"
Gu Anxi smiled faintly. "Logically speaking, the three of us can’t beat them, but..."
She pulled sothing out and said with a light smile, "Luckily, I have plenty of my little minions."
With that, she tossed the object onto the ground, and instantly, four top-tier young won appeared, again leaving Bo Nianyao dumbfounded.
That wasn’t all. Gu Anxi took out a small calculator and input a series of numbers. The four young won instantly multiplied to twelve.
Bo Nianyao was once again dumbfounded.
This technology... it’s more than just AI, isn’t it?
"This is Mitic Virtual Reality Technology, but their fighting power is real," Gu Anxi said, a smile playing on her lips. "Let them handle the experts. As for the rest, Father Bo, you fight Song Jia. Don’t go easy on her, or I’ll tell Mother Bo. Uncle, you focus on Second Uncle. And as for ..."
"You can’t crack the password," Bo Qing cut in calmly.
"Right, so I’ve decided Father Bo and I will take on Song Jia two-on-one. Then we’ll tie her up and make her decode it," Gu Anxi replied shalessly.
Bo Qing laughed coldly. "You underestimate her loyalty to ."
"Oh really?" Gu Anxi smirked. "Then, Master, you really don’t understand won. Won need to be cherished. If you neglect her like this, she’s bound to be tempted elsewhere. Don’t believe ? Check her neck. Aren’t those marks from another man?"
Song Jia was about to explode. She glared furiously at Gu Anxi, wishing she could strangle her.
Bo Qing’s gaze, however, fell calmly on her neck, where there were indeed a few suspicious red marks.
Song Jia said urgently, "Gu Anxi did this!"
"TSK TSK," Gu Anxi clicked her tongue. "How strange. I’m not a man, so how could I do sothing like that to you? Besides, I have my Uncle. Why would I bother with you?"
Song Jia tried to explain, but the words wouldn’t co out.
Gu Anxi grinned. "Actually, even if you do have a lover, there’s no need to be embarrassed to say it. I can understand. Right, Second Uncle?"
Song Jia stomped her foot. "Senior Brother, you have to believe !"
But Bo Qing replied nonchalantly, "That’s not important."
His words left Song Jia dumbstruck. Not important? Then what *is* important to him? Not important... Does that an he wouldn’t care even if she was with another man? Isn’t she... his woman? She was stunned, unable to snap back to her senses for a long mont.
Gu Anxi scoffed, "I told you before, when choosing a man, find one who treats you well. A man who treats you like air? You should stay as far away from him as possible. Isn’t it deaning to keep chasing after him?"
Song Jia’s face flushed red with sha and indignation. She lashed out with her whip—
Gu Anxi didn’t move. Just as Bo Nianyao was about to act, two of the beautiful young won leaped forward.
Gu Anxi said calmly, "I’ve set their combat paraters. Father Bo, Uncle, you two hold them off for a bit."
Song Jia turned her head and cried out, "Don’t let her get away!"
Gu Anxi laughed. "Get away? I’m strolling out of here, thank you very much!"
As she walked, she instructed, "Subdue her and drag her to the Dark."
Bo Qing lunged to grab her, but ten of the young won precisely intercepted and entangled him. Then, Bo Xichen also joined the fray. The scene descended into chaos, making it impossible to tell who had the upper hand.
But Gu Anxi managed to slowly walk away...
She headed straight for the Dark. Naturally, Bo Qing wouldn’t let her leave. The group fought as they advanced.
Gu Anxi reached the Dark’s control room a step ahead of them. With her formidable skills and familiarity with the place, it was an easy task. When she appeared, the dozen or so people inside looked at her with guarded, terrified expressions before so drew their guns.
"I didn’t want to resort to violence," Gu Anxi sighed softly. With a flash of a dozen silver streaks from her hands, a dozen n instantly fell. It wasn’t that she didn’t want to spare them; rather, leaving them alive would only lead to future trouble.
Gu Anxi stepped over the fallen n and walked to the main console, entering a password to open the interface.
On the screen, a massive, dark warhead lood, like a sharp arrow poised to be unsheathed—heavy, mysterious, and dangerous. She took out a small USB drive, inserted it into the main console, and entered a few commands.
The system would run normally but was programd to automatically power down and shut off at exactly 10:00.
In other words, the mission would be aborted.
Before exiting, she changed the password and set up multiple layers of security. It would take at least half a year to a year for anyone to breach it.
After finishing everything, she stretched lazily, then went to Bo Qing’s private quarters for a quick breakfast. This all took about an hour. Afterwards, Gu Anxi stood before the Dark’s main building, waiting quietly.
Bo Qing, Bo Nianyao and his son Bo Xichen, and Song Jia—the four of them—suddenly stumbled out of the bamboo forest, all bearing injuries to varying degrees.
The twelve beautiful young won and the Dark’s Ten Killers, however, were gone.
Gu Anxi chuckled. "Second Uncle’s Ten Killers truly live up to their reputation."
Bo Qing slowly advanced, step by step, towards her. "There’s only half an hour left until ten."
Gu Anxi smiled lightly. "Yes, but there’s still ti. Isn’t that why Song Jia is here?"
Bo Qing glanced at Song Jia, then his gaze returned to Gu Anxi.
Gu Anxi chuckled softly. "That’s right. She’s going to shut down the control system."
"I will not," Song Jia ground out, her teeth clenched. Her eyes shot daggers at Gu Anxi, a clear warning against any reckless words.
"Oh really?" Gu Anxi chuckled softly. "So you don’t care about Zhou Yunchen’s life anymore? It seems I overestimated you. Turns out, a man who doesn’t even care about you is indeed far more important to you than your own big brother."
Big brother?
Bo Qing’s gaze slowly shifted to Song Jia, and a murderous aura emanated from him.
He hadn’t expected this. Now, to be safe, Song Jia... had to die!
