The interior of the car was even darker than the outside.
Yet, the place she fell into was warm, diluting the darkness.
The car started, leaving the sound of sirens far behind.
Gu Anxi propped herself up to sit straight. The touch on her hand was warm, and she quietly clenched her fist.
Feng Mian let out a whistle. "Hey kiddo, we et again."
Bo Xichen’s voice reproved lightly, "Frivolous."
Feng Mian, seemingly unafraid of death, retorted, "So, she’s an art piece then?"
Gu Anxi did not understand.
Bo Xichen’s fingers, resting on his lap, curled slightly. "Enough talk! Head to Yunxi Hospital."
No one in the backseat said a word as Feng Mian’s car sped off.
Once Gu Anxi had adjusted to the dim light, her gaze briefly fell on the two laptops beside her, but she quickly looked away.
Yunxi Hospital... Her father was there. He had been lying there for a long ti.
At that mont, the car’s satellite communication system began to relay successive ssages from Fengxi—

The atmosphere inside the car was perplexing.
Gu Anxi’s voice was sowhat strained. "Who are you people? Just now..."

"We’re in a team ga."
Bo Xichen and Feng Mian spoke in unison.
The interior of the car grew even more perplexing.
Gu Anxi didn’t fuss about getting out of the car or anything else. She sat quietly and then... fell asleep.
Bo Xichen glanced sideways, his ice-blue eyes flickering faintly—
Feng Mian pulled the car over. He, too, noticed Gu Anxi was asleep and couldn’t help but ask, "Young Master Bo, could she be..."
"No!" Bo Xichen’s voice was calm. "When Infinite made their move, she was taking a bath."

Feng Mian gave his master a look as if he were observing a pervert. "How did you know?"
Then it dawned on him: Young Master Bo had been watching for a minute or two while she was bathing!
A glare from Bo Xichen, and Feng Mian dared not say another word.
Dr. Bo was the future Head of the Bo Family. He was usually gentle and easygoing, but that didn’t an people could walk all over him. Everyone, from the older to the younger generations, was actually quite afraid of Dr. Bo.
Feng Mian got out of the car, opened the door for him, and asked softly, "Should we wake her?"
Bo Xichen directly lifted her into his arms. Surprisingly, she slept so soundly she didn’t wake.
Feng Mian was amazed. "The little one must be exhausted!"
"Don’t call her that," Bo Xichen chided softly.
Even soone as straightforward as Feng Mian could grasp the situation: Young Master Bo was unhappy. Young Master Bo was jealous.
「Night.」
Gu Anxi woke up crying, "Dad!"
She sat up abruptly. The surrounding lights were warm, and the air was filled with the faint sll of disinfectant and a subtle masculine scent.
Gu Anxi’s mind replayed the events, and her body went limp as she sank back onto the examination bed.
She had actually fallen asleep... in a stranger’s car.
Her eyes open, she asked softly, "Where is this?"
Bo Xichen stood by the window. "Yunxi Hospital."
It was an enterprise of the Bo Family. There were hundreds of Yunxi Hospitals nationwide, all currently managed by the next Family Head, Bo Xichen.
Gu Anxi raised her hand; her fingers had been rebandaged.
There was no cast, no splint, and it didn’t hurt much.
Probably sensing what she was thinking, Bo Xichen said lightly, "I used a special material. It won’t affect your daily life. However, it’s best not to get it wet, and fighting... is definitely out of the question."
