Lin Hua was very angry: "What does Mr. Wang an by this?"

King Jingyao didn’t co over either, but leaned on another sofa, lighting a cigarette and smoking it slowly, ignoring the gaze from the other side directed at him.

Lin Hua sneered: "Mr. Wang with all his power does as he pleases. Mr. Wang’s fiancée blocked just now, and now Mr. Wang is blocking . What, haven’t you agreed on your opinions?"

King Jingyao held the cigarette, slowly exhaled a smoke ring, and frowned: "Chaoge?"

Lin Hua adjusted her dress and smiled indifferently: "Yes, it’s her. Mr. Wang, I consider myself straightforward and have not touched the interests of your future wife, nor have I offended Mr. Wang, why to such an extent."

She rely waited for a man for several years.

What’s wrong with that?

King Jingyao listened to her words and was dazed for a mont, then he smiled faintly: "You are not wrong."

Lin Hua also remained silent; in fact, there was nothing to say.

Obviously, King Jingyao wasn’t there for a deep conversation, he just wanted to ask if she was doing well.

After a while, he extinguished the cigarette and raised his eyes: "Is he treating you well?"

Lin Hua did not hesitate: "Very well, we will marry after the New Year."

"After the New Year?" King Jingyao repeated, then seed lost for a long ti.

Lin Hua raised her head, her gaze fell on his face, she smiled faintly: "Mr. Wang, why bother like this? If it were ant to be, it would have been. Talking about it now is pointless..."

She got up and walked towards the door.

While King Jingyao still sat in the dim light, and it wasn’t until her hand grasped the doorknob that he spoke softly: "Lin Hua, you probably won’t believe that I regret a bit."

All these years, won around him ca and went, and he remained untouched, except for that one ti he couldn’t help but fall for a little bastard; Lin Hua was the woman he admired most.

Not contending, not fighting, not making noise; perhaps that’s why he took it for granted.

After being accustod to the wild and spicy taste, when he wanted so tranquility, he ca to Lin Hua, but her deanor just now made it clear that in the future, this wouldn’t happen anymore; she would no longer be his confidante, he wouldn’t be able to talk to her when troubled because she was a woman about to get married.

Maybe it was the hint of desolation in his heart that made him blurt it out like this.

Even Lin Hua was montarily stunned.

But she was only briefly stunned, she didn’t turn back, instead slightly lowered her head and invisibly smiled faintly.

Then, she opened the door and left without a backward glance.

As she left, King Jingyao let out a long breath, his whole body sank into the soft sofa.

The small eting room was dimly lit.

He subrged himself in this dimness, reluctant to leave.

He thought again of Gu Anxi and his ex-wife... so many people ca and went around him, but now there wasn’t a single person to talk with.

King Jingyao slightly closed his eyes.

At the door, Lin Hua gracefully left, disappearing at the end of the corridor.

From afar, Jiang Chaoge saw her.

She walked slowly, reaching the path Lin Hua had taken, seeing the two guards, none other than King Jingyao’s people, so had Lin Hua seen King Jingyao just now?

This thought sprouted, Jiang Chaoge’s heart felt as if it was bitten by ants, each limb and joint in agony.

Lin Hua... She’s too much, having a fiancé yet still unclear with King Jingyao.

Jiang Chaoge gritted her teeth at this mont, and then King Jingyao erged from the eting room, happening to see Jiang Chaoge.

Their eyes t.

His eyes shifted from slight surprise to indifference, then settled into peace, Jiang Chaoge realized she couldn’t attain love, if love wasn’t possible, then she would seek power.

She held back, using all her restraint to force a faint smile: "Couldn’t find you in the banquet hall, ca to check."

King Jingyao rubbed his forehead: "My head hurts a bit, ca to sit. By the way, where’s the old lady?"

"Sitting inside the hall." She moved forward, gracefully supporting him, offered proactively: "Jingyao, if you’re not feeling well, maybe head back earlier?"

King Jingyao pondered: ’That works! I’m indeed not feeling great.’

After speaking, he felt he ought to show so affection towards this woman, so he reached out and patted her back.

Jiang Chaoge was smiling, but it was sowhat forced, slightly twisted...

King Jingyao and the elderly couple left first, by then Lin Hua and her fiancé had already departed, but Bo Xichen and Gu Anxi were still there.

Old Wang walked up to Gu Anxi, deep gaze: "We’re leaving."

Bo Xichen smiled: "We’re also about to leave, why don’t we go together?"

King Jingyao smiled: "Alright."

He looked at Min Xin: "Are you riding with or going separately?"

Min Xin imdiately said: "I’ll go separately, it’s late."

King Jingyao nodded, agreeing, at this mont, Chen Ming ca over to arrange Min Xin’s departure, finally escorting the elder and King Jingyao into the car. Once settled, he turned around to greet Bo Xichen and Gu Anxi, and also coincidentally saw Jiang Chaoge...

Chen Ming awkwardly scratched his head.

His mother and Chaoge had a previous unpleasant incident due to their affairs, this was his first ti eting her afterward. Although there was nothing between them, the incident nonetheless left him feeling awkward.

Jiang Chaoge saw him too, she was not resentful or concerned, people often grow tolerant from higher standings, plus she never held hostility towards Chen Ming.

"Chen Ming." Jiang Chaoge approached him: "I was just about to find a chance to visit auntie, heard she’s not been well recently."

Chen Ming coughed lightly: "It’s nothing, just a montary lapse, Chaoge don’t take it to heart."

"Why would I?" Jiang Chaoge smiled: "Not only am I not angry, when I get married, I would invite auntie, think of her for any good occasions."

Chen Ming sensed the undertone, wasn’t quite convinced but maintained a cheerful deanor: "Sure, as long as you don’t mind, she’ll co to understand feelings can’t be forced."

Jiang Chaoge smiled too.

After smiling, she realized Gu Anxi was beside, looking at her with a smirking silence.

Jiang Chaoge imdiately felt uneasy, turned and walked into the hotel, speaking as she went: "Chen Ming, I have things to do so can’t talk further."

Chen Ming watched her back, "Sure, take care."

After speaking, he withdrew his gaze, looking at Gu Anxi.

Gu Anxi chuckled: ’Doing well, huh, childhood betrothal with Dr. Jiang?’

"Not possible." Chen Ming chuckled: ’Her aspirations are high, won’t marry anyone but Mr. Wang, how could she fancy ?’

Saying this, he thought of soone else.

That person said he had no money, so why would he like her?
