Uncle Bo quickly ca to his senses and slapped her, his voice hoarse: "You’ve really learned bad things."

She laughed, holding his neck and chuckling for quite a while.

Bo Xichen lowered his head and touched her little nose: "The plan has been postponed, but it doesn’t matter, right?"

Little Naijing hugged his neck, whispered a few words in his ear, Professor Bo slapped her again, but he still let her have her way...

Their ho Anxi really had learned so mischief.

In the morning, when Gu Anxi woke up, Bo Xichen was already in the bathroom. She turned over in bed and softly called him.

"I have a dical conference to attend in a while." Uncle Bo was shaving, his voice coming across.

She made an "oh" sound and rolled over again, "Is Dr. Jiang going?"

There was a long silence in the bathroom. After a while, Professor Bo finished shaving, ca out fresh, walked to her side, and bent over to her ear: "Mrs. Bo, are you sure you want to bring up old accounts?"

She blinked, like an innocent little enchantress: "But she’s about to be eliminated."

Sister Lin Hua, the seed contender.

Bo Xichen laughed quietly: "That has nothing to do with . You’ve overthought, Mrs. Bo."

"I’m expressing my concern and possessiveness." Gu Anxi held his neck: "Uncle, I want to establish family rules with you."

He continued to laugh quietly: "Then tell ."

So she hugged him, listing them one by one, as she counted she started laughing, and he laughed too. Later she got sleepy, her eyelids drooping, softly saying, "I’ll check when you co back tonight."

"Much welco." He laughed softly, and patted her little cheek: ’I’m off.’

She made a "hm" sound and released her hand.

When Professor Bo walked out, he touched his forehead, helpless yet sweet: she really is clingy.

But as a husband, he liked it this way.

Walking to the dining room, Bo Nianyao and his wife along with the old master were already seated. Family head Bo Nianyao was watching his nose and keeping thoughts to himself. Last night he got a talking-to from his wife who said he disregarded decorum, insisting on playing chess with the kid till late night, affecting the family plans for Bo family’s next generation. Father Nianyao didn’t agree; how could the plans be disrupted in a re two hours? He figured it was more due to the son.

Bo Xichen sat down and was greeted with his father’s reproachful gaze. He returned a knowing smile.

Old Master Bo, anwhile, was lackluster and out of spirits.

With all these n around, breakfast had lost its flavor.

Old Master Bo grumbled: "Xichen, can you bring your wife to have breakfast together more often, to cultivate marital feelings?"

Uncle Bo gave a faint smile: "She probably thinks it’s unnecessary."

The old master was extrely disappointed, continuing to languish.

Bo Nianyao observed his son’s deanor, realizing there was a reason, and spoke a few words alone after breakfast: "Xichen, what’s up?"

Bo Xichen touched the car door, turning around: "Father."

Bo Nianyao, dressed in plain attire, approached slowly: "You appear troubled, could it be the rumors about Mr. Wang bothering you?"

Bo Xichen chuckled: "How could that be?"

He paused, then spoke in a somber tone: "Jiang Chaoge has brought Lu Heng back."

Lu Heng?

Bo Nianyao frowned.

He certainly had heard of Lu Heng, but not particularly aware, although he knew clearly of the Lu Family. Both the Lu and Bo Families were known for their dical legacy, yet while the Bo Family healed, the Lu Family was known for crafting poisons.

The Lu Family’s origin story was about making drugs, and hundreds of years later, what’s bred in the bone still cos out in the flesh. Even in Lu Heng’s generation, although a bit more civilized, the dicines developed were potent, focusing on imdiate effects regardless of the aftermath.

Bo Nianyao pondered montarily: "It must be about Huaer Laboratory’s project."

"Yes." Bo Xichen nodded.

Bo Nianyao clasped his hands behind his back, pacing back and forth before speaking again: "How will you proceed? Announce now that the project is actually owned by the Bo Family?"

Bo Xichen shook his head.

Bo Nianyao fixed his gaze on his son.

Bo Xichen spoke softly: "Let them develop it. Mr. Wang needs ti, and so do we."

Bo Nianyao thought it over, realizing it made sense.

Bo Xichen opened the car door and got inside, rolling down the window: "There’s a dical conference this morning—I’ll et him there."

Bo Nianyao heard this and laughed lightly...

The black sports car started up, slowly driving away from Si Garden.

At nine o’clock in the morning, the Asian dical Symposium convened punctually, hosted by none other than Lin Yuan.

Since taking over from Bo Jingshen, Lin Yuan had been flourishing effortlessly, openly and covertly favoring the Bo Family. After the Zhou Yunchen incident, fortunately, Lin Yuan remained unaffected.

Beside Lin Yuan sat a young man sent by the Jiang Family, handso and participating in such a grand conference for the first ti, feeling a bit nervous.

Bo Xichen arrived relatively early, and joined Lin Yuan for a cigarette before calmly reviewing docunts. People gradually ca, very polite to each other, until Jiang Chaoge and Lu Heng arrived. Their domineering presence was practically unbearable for the conference room...

Everyone was stunned.

It was Lu Heng.

Jiang Chaoge actually brought Lu Heng back.

The Jiang Family was undoubtedly even stronger, coupled with the nearing union of Jiang Chaoge and King Jingyao, could the Bo Family still withstand? Perhaps it was nearing decline.

Lu Heng’s aura differed from Bo Xichen’s gentle elegance; it was an overt kind of dominance where nothing grew in his path. Certainly, he was also good-looking, delicate and handso.

Lu Heng dressed in black, slowly walked over to sit beside Bo Xichen, smiling: "Brother Bo, long ti no see."

"It has been a while indeed." Uncle Bo smiled: "Lu Heng, you’re still the sa."

Lu Heng’s expression shifted before quickly recovering: "What does Brother Bo an by that?"

"Nothing much, just a usual complint." Bo Xichen chuckled: "Having stayed abroad so long, has your Chinese gotten rusty, Lu Heng?"

He then looked towards Jiang Chaoge: "Junior Sister Jiang can translate."

He lazily remarked: "Just curious about your current dynamic, who’s above and below..."

Superior and subordinate.

Lin Yuan laughed aloud: "Xichen, we’re getting into it nicely, why rush it, shows your married life goes smoothly."

Lu Heng pressed his lips without speaking.

All eyes were on him, due to his notoriety of being arrogant and dismissive, not caring for anyone, he was equally domineering and narcissistic.

Jiang Chaoge stepped in for him: "Senior Brother Lu Heng is an expert I’ve invited."

Lu Heng looked towards Bo Xichen: "Isn’t Brother Bo coveting this position?"

Bo Xichen humbly responded: "This position rightfully belongs to Senior Brother Lu; I’d never dare to compete with you."

Lu Heng was infuriated yet again.

In those years apart, when did Bo Xichen beco so articulate? Where did the forr good manners go? Fed to the dogs?

His current deanor seed sowhat more audacious.
