"Ti Acceleration!"
The instant the orders were given, the palace guards moved like a perfectly synchronized machine and activated their ti rule cards, planning to finish before anyone realized what happened.
Several guards spread out through the clouds and began arranging themselves in a massive displacent battle formation in midair, glowing runes rapidly appearing one after another beneath their feet.
At the sa ti, Guards Three and Four shot downward toward the Guild Association Mall like streaks of light, their powerful auras crashing toward the building with overwhelming pressure.
anwhile, the Vice Guard Captain stepped forward alone to confront the two SSS-rank corpse dragons that appear to be frozen in ti.
In the accelerated ti, the Vice Guard Captain rushed at the corpse dragons while the world around him appeared to co to pause. The storm clouds froze mid-motion, lightning hung in the sky like neon serpent signs.
But at that exact mont, the eyes of the two corpse dragons shifted and locked directly onto him.
"Overclock!"
ROOOAAARRR!!!
The dragons opened their massive jaws and unleashed torrents of blazing corpse fire straight toward him. At the sa ti, a weak yet clear voice echoed across the battlefield through the distorted flow of ti itself.
"Fusion Summon: Twin-Headed Four-Winged Corpse Dragon."
The two SSS-rank corpse dragons suddenly erupted with blinding light. Their massive bodies rapidly twisted together as flesh, bone, scales, and death aura rged into one horrifying existence.
In the blink of an eye, a colossal twin-headed corpse dragon erged from the fusion.
Its two enormous heads let out deafening roars simultaneously while four gigantic withered and mummified wings spread across the sky, each spanning several hundred yards. The scales and flesh layered parts of its fused body, and dark flas poured endlessly from the gaps between its scales like blood leaking from wounds.
Then it flapped its wings once.
BOOM!!!
The sky exploded beneath it as the colossal corpse dragon shot upward with terrifying speed, moving nearly five tis faster than the individual SSS-rank corpse dragons had before fusion.
The Vice Guard Captain’s expression changed drastically.
The fused dragon moved so fast that even his senses struggled to properly track it. To him, the creature looked less like a dragon and more like a black cot tearing straight toward his position.
Realizing the danger instantly, the Vice Guard Captain abandoned all thoughts of offense and hurriedly took a defensive stance while shouting for backup.
"Ti Acceleration!"
The Guard Captain instantly accelerated his personal ti flow to a level far beyond that of the other palace guards. To everyone else, his figure seed to vanish completely as he entered a state where even the already accelerated Vice Captain appeared frozen in comparison.
Within his accelerated ti flow, the charging twin-headed corpse dragon appeared nearly frozen in place. Its gigantic jaws were slowly opening as it closed in on the Vice Guard Captain, corpse fire beginning to gather deep within its throats.
The Guard Captain appeared beside the colossal dragon in an instant.
At first, he intended to pierce straight through its stomach and execute it with a single overwhelming attack. However, just as he prepared to strike, one of the dragon’s two heads suddenly shifted and turned its gaze toward him.
The captain’s eyes narrowed sharply. It was adapting to his accelerated ti flow.
There was no ti to waste on a flashy finishing move. The Guard Captain imdiately abandoned his original plan and instead delivered a devastating kick directly into the side of the fused dragon’s body.
BOOOOM!!!
The impact detonated through the sky like a teor collision. The colossal twin-headed dragon was violently blasted away, its massive body spiraling downward before crashing toward the ground below with enough force to shake the entire city. Buildings shattered from the resulting shockwave while cracks spread across the streets like spiderwebs.
But instead of relief, shock appeared on the Guard Captain’s face.
The fused corpse dragon had actually managed to enter his accelerated ti flow. Had there not been a tiny delay while the creature adapted to the accelerated flow of ti, his attack would not have connected cleanly. Worse, he might have personally delivered the Vice Guard Captain straight into the dragon’s jaws on a silver platter.
The twin-headed corpse dragon imdiately rose back to its feet and shot into the sky once more, its four massive wings tearing apart the storm clouds as it charged straight toward the Guard Captain with murderous intent.
The Guard Captain remained calm. Raising one hand, he summoned a gigantic sphere of swirling soul energy above him. Countless distorted faces and streams of pale light twisted within the globe like trapped souls screaming in agony.
With a cold expression, he hurled the massive sphere directly at the charging dragon.
The twin-headed corpse dragon responded instantly. Both heads opened their jaws and unleashed enormous torrents of corpse flas. The black-and-green inferno crashed into the globe of soul energy, rapidly drowning and burning through it until the entire attack exploded apart in the sky.
But when the dragon’s line of sight cleared, the Guard Captain had already vanished.
A split second later, he appeared above the dragon’s back carrying an enormous halberd radiating terrifying pressure. The weapon looked heavy enough to crush mountains, yet he swung it downward with monstrous speed.
The blade tore through the sky as it descended toward one of the dragon’s wings.
At the last mont, the twin-headed corpse dragon twisted its gigantic body mid-flight. The movent barely saved its wing from being severed, but the halberd still carved a massive wound across its back.
A deep, clean slash ripped through flesh and scales, exposing portions of its enormous fused rib cage beneath the rotting flesh. Black blood sprayed across the sky as the dragon released a deafening roar of pain while struggling to stabilize itself in the air.
Not giving it even a mont to recover, the Guard Captain imdiately pursued and swung his halberd again, this ti aiming directly for one of the dragon’s heads.
The blade descended like divine judgnt.
Just as he was about to sever the dragon’s head completely, a figure suddenly slamd into him from the side with terrifying force.
BOOM!!!
The impact sent the Guard Captain hurtling across the sky together with the crashing body. Mid-flight, his expression changed slightly when he finally recognized who had collided with him.
The body belonged to Guard Number Three, one of the palace guards sent to capture the targets inside the Guild Association Mall.
