Ghost-Controlling Master is a household term; even children know it when ntioned.
Previously, there were no Ghost-Controlling Masters on Earth, but everything changed seven years ago one night.
An unknown wind blew all night, with cries and wails echoing through the streets and alleys.
That night was dubbed as the Night of Horror’s Arrival.
"Ghosts" began to appear on Earth.
Humans are highly adaptable, quickly adjusting to changes in their environnt.
Within about a year, everyone adapted to the presence of ghosts, and so subdued them, signing contracts to beco Ghost-Controlling Masters.
What started as a fear of ghosts gradually evolved into capturing and controlling them.
Wu Min ca to Wanlin Mountain precisely to catch ghosts.
"It’s coming.." the middle-aged man exclaid, holding a Compass.
The needle of the Compass in his hand spun wildly at great speed.
Wu Min instantly beca tense, holding her breath and focusing, taking yellow Talismans out of her pocket with her right hand.
Tightly following behind the middle-aged man.
Facing a Dangerous Level ghost, she dared not be careless at all.
In such situations, carelessness only leads to losing one’s life.
"Sigh...."
An eerie wind blew over.
Wu Min staggered under the force of the eerie wind, nearly unable to stand.
"Such dense Ghost Qi.. It might not just be a Dangerous Level ghost, but probably sothing stronger." The middle-aged man spoke heavily.
Stronger than Dangerous Level ans Horror Level.
Wu Min’s heartbeat involuntarily sped up, having encountered a Horror Level ghost only once before.
Given her current strength, subduing a Horror Level ghost would be difficult.
Just then, a figure of a man appeared out of thin air right in front.
This man wore red attire, seemingly official robes.
That appearance... that attire, there’s no mistake, definitely a Ghost.
And the Ghost Qi on this ghost was particularly dense.
Its body was visibly entangled with a thick black smoke, a result of the Ghost Qi materializing due to its intensity.
Only powerful ghosts exhibit such phenona.
Mo Lin breathed the fresh air, surveyed the surroundings, and spoke after a long ti.
"Finally back..."
"Seven years... a full seven years.. does anyone know the kind of ghostly life he endured in the Underworld?"
Only he knows the awful and painful feeling.
Mo Lin’s shout made Wu Min’s skin crawl.
She had provoked the ghost before her; this ghost intended to kill.
"Summon the Ghost..." Wu Min shouted.
She was summoning the ghost she had a contract with.
The ghost she had contracted with was a Danger Level ghost.
Though not as powerful as Dangerous Level, it could at least inflict considerable damage on the opponent.
"....."
No reaction..
Her ghost showed no reaction whatsoever.
What’s going on?
"Summon the Ghost.." Wu Min shouted again.
Still no reaction.
She was encountering this situation for the first ti.
She tried to communicate with her contracted ghost, still receiving no response.
Wu Min’s call seed to have vanished without trace.
Without any response.
"Elder Li.." Wu Min called out to the middle-aged man beside her.
Signaling him to summon the ghost.
Elder Li instantly understood, snorted coldly, "Co out.."
The next mont, Elder Li was instantly embarrassed.
No response.
His contracted ghost gave no reaction.
"Co out.." Elder Li unwillingly shouted again.
Still no response.
He and Wu Min experienced the sa situation, unable to summon the contracted ghost.
Being Ghost-Controlling Masters, yet unable to summon their contracted ghosts.
If word got out, it would certainly invite ridicule.
"Miss, use Daoist thods." Elder Li advised.
Since they’ve chosen to capture ghosts, they must have prepared sothing.
If the contracted ghost can’t be summoned, then use the prepared trump cards.
"Okay."
Wu Min nodded, opened the bag slung across her shoulder with her right hand, and took out so yellow paper.
These were Talismans for dealing with ghosts.
The yellow Talismans were tied on a red string; Wu Min circled Mo Lin with the red string, trapping him inside.
Daoist Talismans are highly effective against ghosts.
The elder beside her handed a wooden sword to Wu Min.
Wu Min took the wooden sword and positioned to thrust, charging towards Mo Lin.
Mo Lin looked at the woman before him fiddling with Talismans in confusion.
Uncertain of what she was doing.
Just back on Earth and already encountering a lunatic?
Mo Lin stepped forward and directly tore apart the surrounding Talismans.
Wu Min had only taken two steps and hadn’t had the chance to stab Mo Lin with the Peach Wood Sword before stopping instantly upon seeing Mo Lin’s actions.
She was dumbfounded.
Such a fierce ghost?
Even the Talismans had no effect?
Unwilling to accept defeat, Wu Min took out another Talisman, directly sticking it on Mo Lin’s forehead.
This one was a Purple Talisman, which she had spent a lot of money to buy.
Mo Lin frowned, peeled the Talisman off his forehead, crumpled it up, and tossed it away.
"Are you crazy?" Mo Lin said impatiently to Wu Min.
Just back in the mortal world and already encountering lunatics sticking Talismans; Mo Lin’s good mood was ruined.
Wu Min was utterly panicked.
Even the Purple Talisman had no effect?
Frightened, Wu Min stabbed the Peach Wood Sword at Mo Lin’s body.
A slight prickling sensation made Mo Lin annoyed; although it wasn’t harmful, the force Wu Min used sohow made it slightly painful on Mo Lin’s body.
Already annoyed, Mo Lin suddenly got angry.
He waved his hand, seized the Peach Wood Sword, and then broke it.
"Crazy? Get lost.."
Just back in the mortal world and already encountering crazies, what bad luck.
Wu Min was instantly petrified.
This ghost was too strong.
Even able to break a Peach Wood Sword, that was absurd.
Certainly at least a Horror Level or even higher level ghost.
Without any hesitation, Wu Min turned and ran.
While running, she didn’t forget to remind the middle-aged man beside her, "Elder Li, run quickly, this ghost is too powerful."
In a state of panic, Wu Min severely fell on the ground, but paid no heed, got up and continued running.
"You are the ghost... your whole family is ghosts."
"Bad luck.."
As Mo Lin’s words ended, the two figures had already vanished without a trace.
"Heh heh..."
A thrilling figure echoed in the air.
A head with disheveled hair floated in the air.
It was a face half rotted, revealing upper jaw teeth, eyeball dangling from the lower eyelid, looking grueso.
Making very strange noises from its mouth.
Its lower half slowly walked across the ground.
"A thick Ghost Qi.. If I devour it, I can definitely beco stronger."
The female ghost’s voice was excited, like she had encountered a feast.
Her head swiftly flew towards the thick Ghost Qi direction.
Suddenly.. her head ca to an abrupt halt.
Fear flashed deep in her eyes.
As if she had seen the most terrifying thing in her life.
Turning.. running...
The action was smooth.
Without any pause whatsoever, definitely no more than two seconds.
"Impossible... how could such a big figure appear here?"
She muttered as she ran.
Could the Underworld have collapsed?
Has the barrier between the Yin and Yang realms vanished?
Why would such a big figure appear in the mortal world?
