Zhou Yun slept for a very long ti.
Her sleep quality has always been good, rarely waking up halfway or suffering from long bouts of insomnia.
Sotis she thinks that her good sleep quality is due to her life no longer having too many unsolvable problems.
She once heard an old makeup artist in a crew say, "I used to think that a good day required sothing nice to happen. But as you get older, you realize that if nothing terrible happens, it’s already a good day."
Zhou Yun wholeheartedly agreed.
While having breakfast at the hotel, Zhou Yun happened to run into Zeng Yeng.
Zeng Yeng showed a particularly bright smile upon seeing her.
"Xiao Yun, you’re having breakfast this early too," Zeng Yeng said. "That’s so rare."
Zhou Yun suddenly didn’t know what to say.
She thought, how is this rare?
"Sister Yeng, are you alone?" Zhou Yun asked.
Zeng Yeng nodded and said, "Just . Nowadays, people would rather sleep in than wake up half an hour early for breakfast. That’s not good for your health."
Zhou Yun chuckled.
She said, "Is Sister Yeng very focused on health preservation?"
Zeng Yeng nodded and said, "I started focusing on it after turning thirty."
"No wonder Sister Yeng doesn’t look a bit like thirty," Zhou Yun said. "Being a producer is so exhausting, yet you are still youthful and vibrant."
"Oh, co on," said Zeng Yeng. Although she didn’t admit it verbally, her eyes overflowed with a smile. "I never dare to stand next to you guys in photos. Every ti I’m with you female celebrities, I feel like the older generation."
Once again, Zhou Yun didn’t know how to respond, so she maintained her smile.
Zeng Yeng, perhaps realizing the conversation had hit a lull, suddenly switched topics after a few seconds of silence and asked, "Xiao Yun, I’m a bit curious. Are you planning to focus on shooting in Hollywood or dostically?"
Zhou Yun paused for a mont and said, "I haven’t really thought much about this, but my work will definitely prioritize filming. So, if I’m shooting dostically, the focus will be here; if in Hollywood, then Hollywood."
"Many actors go to Hollywood to make their mark. Will you go?" Zeng Yeng asked. "You’re popular in the United States too and have been nominated for Best Actress at the Golden Ball."
Zhou Yun said, "If you an going to Hollywood specifically to try my luck, probably not. There are still many directors I want to collaborate with here, like this film which I really want to work on with Director Wen Bing."
Zeng Yeng said, "Then we dostic producers can breathe a sigh of relief. In private conversations among peers, we’re worried that after you film ’Killing Song’ in Hollywood, you’ll focus there permanently."
"I won’t," Zhou Yun said. "I will continue making Chinese-language films."
"When this news gets out, everyone will definitely be very happy," said Zeng Yeng.
After finishing breakfast with Zeng Yeng, Zhou Yun returned to her room to rest for a while, then went to the conference room at the scheduled ti.
They rented a hotel conference room for the eting.
Wen Bing had set up a projector to showcase his PowerPoint presentation.
He had detailed storyboards to introduce his specific vision for the film to everyone.
’Female Assassin’ is different from movies like ’Life’; the forr emphasizes visual stimulation and the rhythm of the narrative.
Wen Bing is not a director who shoots comrcial films with an arthouse approach. This is a key reason why ’Two Tigers’ was successful.
He does not put expression before story and visuals.
"Our movie is essentially about a female assassin who is frad, hunted, and then seeks revenge. The entire movie centers around this main storyline. First, let introduce the female assassin played by Zhou Yun, codenad Qiu Qian. This character cos from another film I directed, ’Two Tigers.’ In ’Two Tigers,’ Qiu Qian receives an assignnt to compete for sothing in Liang Yuanpu’s possession. During their struggle and fight, so ambiguous feelings develop. This is a known aspect for us and the audience, and we’ll build on this established foundation."
Wen Bing glanced at Zhou Yun and said, "First, everyone knows that Qiu Qian is an exceptionally attractive person. But the danger she exudes is as sharp as her beauty, with a lethal edge at any given mont. Yet she is also incredibly adept at disguises; if needed, she can beco any kind of woman in this world, including an elderly person. In our movie, there’s a scene designed where Zhou Yun disguises herself as an old woman to escape other assassins."
