Zhou Yun: "What kind of attitude have I shown?"
Gu Huaichun remained silent.
Initially, he disliked Zhou Yun because of her past scandals and her non-professional background. Most importantly, Xu Siyao parachuting into the role of the second female lead—a role that originally belonged to his friend.
He blad Zhou Yun for all of this.
He loathed those celebrities who relied on popularity and traffic to squeeze out space from those who earnestly acted.
However, this morning, he realized that Zhou Yun’s relationship with Xu Siyao was not as good as he previously thought; it was even sowhat hostile.
If Gu Huaichun were to voice all this, he wouldn’t be able to show his face in front of Zhou Yun anymore. He might as well dig a hole, jump in, and bury himself.
He hemd and hawed, not making a sound. After a while, he couldn’t hold back his curiosity, "Aren’t you and Xu Siyao from the sa company? Why are you two contesting each other secretly?"
"I’m contesting her? What’s there to contest? Don’t label without seeing clearly. Why would I stoop to petty squabbles with her?" Zhou Yun responded with an attitude of outright contention with Xu Siyao.
Gu Huaichun: "..."
He thought to himself: Ah, won.
Of course, he could only dare to think it at this mont.
Zhou Yun continued, "Besides, just because we’re in the sa company, should our relations be good? Are all the artists signed under Yuehai like brothers and sisters to you?"
"We’re obviously not brothers and sisters, but if not for you, how could Xu Siyao suddenly beco the second female lead?" Gu Huaichun asked.
Zhou Yun: "You ask , who should I ask? She’s nothing to . Why would I bother and even try to help her get a role?"
Gu Huaichun: "Your temper is bigger than ever, seems like you hold quite a grudge against her."
"It’s none of your business." Zhou Yun retorted irritably.
"She invited to dinner tonight, and I’m considering whether to go or not."
"Go or don’t go, it’s up to you." Zhou Yun put down her chopsticks and got up to leave.
It’s strange, so people get along better the longer they know each other, while others dislike each other the more they know them.
For Zhou Yun, Xu Siyao was the latter.
Initially, because of He Yong, Zhou Yun didn’t want to interact with Xu Siyao. Later, when Xu Siyao took the initiative to approach her and showed goodwill, she just rejected her and kept her distance without doing anything else.
Later, Xu Siyao repeatedly fabricated a close relationship with her on social dia on her own, which annoyed Zhou Yun, though she still didn’t take it to heart.
In June, when Zhou Yun fell into a public opinion crisis because of Zhao Qin, Xu Siyao suddenly acted as if she didn’t know her and was not familiar with her, which Zhou Yun found quite a relief as she didn’t have to worry about Xu Siyao’s constant efforts to show goodwill.
She really didn’t want to stir up any CP (Celebrity Partnership) with Xu Siyao, whether it was the initially intended sister CP or the later idol and fan CP.
Until today, when Xu Siyao showed up on the set.
Zhou Yun began to genuinely dislike Xu Siyao from the bottom of her heart.
No matter what, she had never attacked Xu Siyao.
What right did Xu Siyao have to be sarcastic towards her?
Zhou Yun was never a shrinking violet.
From the makeup room to the set, Xu Siyao’s pretence of familiarity, and her intimate tone spewing heart-piercing words, there were indeed monts when Zhou Yun felt like grabbing sothing and throwing it at her, just to see how her hypocritical face could continue to feign a smile.
Gu Huaichun could see it, which was quite surprising for Zhou Yun.
Putting down the chopsticks and leaving was partly because she didn’t want to talk about Xu Siyao, and partly to show this attitude.
Rather than keeping the peace, at this ti, Zhou Yun was more unwilling to see Xu Siyao swaggering around the set under her na, potentially causing trouble and implicating her, the "fellow senior."
Zhou Yun didn’t want to put herself in such a passive situation.
