Kang Xin didn’t seem any more relaxed than anyone else.

As he said, it had been a long ti since he directed a TV series. With so many scenes and so many people and matters to manage, even with a very large and mature team, it still required a lot of effort.

The scene in the afternoon was not difficult for Zhou Yun.

Zhou Yun basically just had to lie in bed, with even fewer lines. Most of the ti she kept her eyes closed, only occasionally waking to watch Song Chi bustling about.

They had just changed sets, and everyone was busy adjusting the equipnt.

The makeup artist was styling Song Chi.

"This stove and dicine bowl are too new," Kang Xin was picky about the props He Mu was about to use next. "And the quilt too. Why hasn’t it been aged? He Mu hurriedly found a place to treat Liu Rusu, how could it look like this! Take a look for yourselves. The walls are gray and mottled, and the other furniture in the room is old, but this quilt looks as new as if it had just been sewn, without a single stain. Is that normal? You have to think when you set these things up!"

The head of the Prop Team broke out in a cold sweat.

"Redo it," Kang Xin frowned. "We’re not shooting this scene today."

Zhou Yun was stunned.

Not shooting again?

Kang Xin went to inspect the stove. He made various requests from ti to ti, and there were people beside him taking notes.

At this mont, Song Chi, having finished his makeup, ca over.

"Director Kang."

Kang Xin said, "Let’s shoot so scenes of you preparing the dicine first."

Song Chi nodded.

Kang Xin turned to Zhou Yun and said, "We can’t shoot this scene today, you go rest first."

Zhou Yun could only nod awkwardly.

But she didn’t leave; she stayed to watch Song Chi’s shooting.

She had nothing else to do at the mont; she had morized the script long ago and read it many tis. She wanted to observe how Song Chi acted on set, as this kind of experiential learning was exactly what Zhou Yun lacked most.

There were no extras, and the room was still cramped by the crew.

Song Chi squatted in front of the stove, looking at the firewood in the corner.

They were prepared by the Prop Team.

The firewood was dusty.

He tried to light a fire, but it wouldn’t ignite.

The crew brought a local resident nearby to teach him how to light and maintain the fire, and place the firewood.

The scene of making a fire took three takes.

These were very ordinary transitional scenes, and Song Chi’s movents beca more proficient.

Especially in the scenes where he prepared the dicine, Song Chi obviously did his howork well in advance; his movents were fluid.

Each change of set took so ti.

During this ti, Song Chi didn’t just idle around; he strolled alone inside the courtyard, touching the walls for a while, fiddling with objects in the house.

Zhou Yun puzzled, asked, "What are you doing?"

Song Chi replied, "I’m getting more familiar with this house. You can tell how familiar a person is with their surroundings. I need to know where everything is placed, so when I need sothing, my actions can’t be hesitant, and neither can my state."

Zhou Yun suddenly understood.

"I’ve never thought about that."

"With more experience, you’ll understand," Song Chi said. "I used to act on intuition. At the beginning, when people didn’t know you, they were very forgiving. Many minor issues were overlooked, but you can’t always be a newcor actor or always rely on so bursts or inspired monts to fulfill a character. I once worked on a film where an experienced actor told , a great sense of achievent for an actor cos from crafting a character. This is different from just subjectively imrsing yourself into the role. Subjectively getting into character is just madness; achieving both subjective and objective imrsion is genius. And madness can only move oneself, but frighten the audience."

Zhou Yun said, "That sounds very reasonable."

Song Chi: "I’ve acted in many plays, and at the ti I didn’t understand what he ant, but later I did."

Zhou Yun said, "Honestly, I didn’t quite understand just now, feels a bit obscure."

Song Chi: "But Director Kang really likes you, he says you are soone who knows how to act with your eyes."

Zhou Yun looked at him surprised, asking, "Really? Director Kang has never said that to ."

"He’s not soone who complints actors to their faces, but he said you gave him a big surprise, his expectations were not very high," Song Chi said.

Zhou Yun said, "Director Kang really is a very strict director, with very stringent demands. I didn’t expect that after joining the crew for two days, we’ve only shot one scene. Like today, not shooting just because the quilt was too new, sothing like this would never happen in my previous film."

Song Chi laughed and said, "That’s why Director Kang can be Director Kang."

"I see that now," Zhou Yun said. "I’ve never experienced sothing like yesterday before, one scene grinding through the whole morning, shooting each shot several tis."

"Do you think Director Kang likes that? It’s all a waste of ti and money. He even invested in it, but he still has to consider the costs. He just has his own artistic standards," Song Chi said. "After you’ve been in a film directed by Kang, when you enter another crew later, you might experience so discomfort. You’ll be trained to have a picky eye, and think that everything isn’t good enough, and others may find you too critical."

Zhou Yun: "That’s true. To be honest, my makeup, adjusted many tis back and forth, essentially just for one shot."

Song Chi said, "Did you see the shots from yesterday?"

"No."

"I did, the shots turned out very well. Once you see them, you’ll know that all the hard work was worth it, because your efforts can be exchanged for sothing better."

Zhou Yun looked at Song Chi with surprise.

Song Chi suddenly paused, looking at her suspiciously.

"What are you staring at?"

"I just realized that you seem different here on set than usual. When you talk about acting, you really know your stuff. You’re really like a future movie king."

Song Chi thought Zhou Yun was going to say sothing else, but it turned out to be just this.

"Am I being long-winded?" he asked.

"No, no, don’t get wrong, I don’t find you long-winded. I just feel that the way you spoke just now is different from your usual self, it’s not usual..." Zhou Yun didn’t know what to say next and stopped abruptly.

Song Chi wanted to say sothing, but suddenly soone called him and he had to go.

Zhou Yun said, "Soone is calling you, you should go."

Song Chi nodded and left.

Zhou Yun stood outside the crowd, watching Song Chi, wondering about sothing, her lips curling into a smile. What was she about to say? That Song Chi just now didn’t seem quite like the usual Song Chi? In her eyes just now, Song Chi’s eyes were shining brighter than usual, and when he spoke each word, he was completely confident, certain of what he was saying, embodying a sense of assurance, composure, and conviction. Zhou Yun felt that the Song Chi just now had a different kind of allure from usual.
