"How did the show recording go? Did you have a conflict with Su Yan?"
Back in the room, after receiving a call from Zhou Lan, Zhou Yun was asked the routine question.
Zhou Yun turned on the speakerphone, placed her mobile on the table, and turned to switch on her laptop.
"I don’t know if there was a conflict or not, well, I guess there wasn’t since I managed to hold back," Zhou Yun switched on the desk lamp, "Su Yan always looks for trouble. I couldn’t help it. In the morning, I didn’t understand the rules of the show and took out my phone to check for clues, and she pointed it out in front of everyone. It was embarrassing."
"Didn’t your screenwriter tell you?"
"No, she might have forgotten," Zhou Lan reminded Zhou Yun.
Zhou Yun said, "Now I regret taking part in this show."

"But the thing is, Zhao Qin wasn’t pushed out by Gan Bida." Zhou Yun opened the browser and searched for "Wei Chen," "This afternoon sothing else happened. The prop team got the clues for and Su Yan’s groups mixed up, repeating the clues given to us, resulting in my group having to re-record. Su Yan and so of the old regulars were very unhappy about waiting for our re-recording. At first, I thought it was because of Su Yan not wanting to wait for , deliberately making uncomfortable, but later I realized that actually, the old regulars were dissatisfied with Gan Bida, so they were unwilling to cooperate with him."
Wei Chen’s information popped up on the web page.
Zhou Yun read through it line by line.
Zhou Lan said, "I understand, there’s a big conflict between them, but it doesn’t really involve you, does it? After all, you’re not there to be a regular guest, so there shouldn’t be any conflict of interest, right?"
Zhou Yun: "Sister Lan, Su Yan doesn’t like , and she’ll step on whenever she gets a chance. Now that such an opportunity is right here, do you think she’ll let it go? The other old regulars might not have issues with , but she will use this opportunity to turn everyone against , because I am the guest brought in after Gan Bida beca the director."

After hanging up the call, Zhou Yun carefully looked at the information on the screen: "Hope’s Fist," director Gan Bida, starring Wei Chen.
Gan Bida has also been a film director?
Zhou Yun was sowhat surprised. Generally speaking, film directors and variety show directors followed completely different paths; crossover was not common. Yet these two had crossed paths so early on. Zhou Yun re-entered keywords into the search bar, this ti including "Gan Bida."
"Hope’s Fist," a production from ten years ago, hadn’t even been released in theaters. With low ratings of only 3.8 points, the reviews were poor.
At the ti, Wei Chen was just a rookie actor with a look full of righteousness.
Zhou Yun continued scrolling until she ca upon a news preview on the seventh page: "Director of ’Hope’s Fist’ and Wei Chen get into a fistfight on set."
She wanted to click through to see what exactly happened, but the webpage would not open.
Zhou Yun couldn’t help but frown.
Had there been conflict and disagreents between the two in the past?

The next day, Zhou Yun continued with the scheduled shooting of the show. This ti it was a re-draw for groups, but not for checking in at various places — the main focus was outdoor gas.
Zhou Yun didn’t expect to draw Wei Chen and be in the sa group as him.
From Wei Chen’s reaction, he seed surprised too; he hadn’t expected to be grouped with Zhou Yun.
"Brother Chan." Zhou Yun still politely greeted Wei Chen.
Wei Chen returned the greeting with a polite smile.
Zhou Yun could very directly feel the distance in Wei Chen’s smile.
So, after completing the initial gathering part of the recording and while waiting to prepare for the ga, Zhou Yun approached Wei Chen.
"Brother Chan, do you dislike ?" she asked directly.
Wei Chen looked very surprised at Zhou Yun, even a bit flustered, probably due to Zhou Yun’s straightforward questioning.
"No, no, how could that be," Wei Chen’s polite distance was defeated, "I have no issues with you."
That last sentence sounded like it was emphasizing sothing.
I have no issues with you.
Where was the emphasis? The end or the beginning?
Zhou Yun said, "I thought Brother Chan had sothing against , I hope my relationship with Sister Su Yan doesn’t affect your view of ."
Wei Chen was once again defeated by Zhou Yun’s directness.
"You... you’re really straightforward," Wei Chen said.
Zhou Yun shrugged and said, "I don’t want us to end up as enemies due to silence and misunderstanding. If we can have fewer misunderstandings, then we can have more friends."
Wei Chen laughed heartily.
"You and Su Yan’s issue, I honestly don’t care, but you are quite interesting."
"I know, all my friends say so," Zhou Yun said, "But I’m glad you think I’m interesting. It’s very encouraging for ."
"Encouraging you?" Wei Chen asked in surprise, "Should I ask what you an by that?"
Zhou Yun looked amused, and she also seed a bit embarrassed as she slightly pursed her lips.
"You’re my idol. In college, I saw one of your dramas where you played a policeman who got shot, went ho to recover, and happened to encounter a thief at the neighbor’s, so you started helping to catch the thief. Do you rember?" Zhou Yun asked.
Wei Chen nodded in surprise, "I rember, I rember, that was a drama from five years ago, right?"
"Yeah, I watched it with my roommate in the cinema, and I felt back then: This man is amazing. I never thought I’d get to be on a show with him one day."
Wei Chen shook his head, nostalgic: "When I shot that film, I was only twenty-seven."
"What are you two chatting about?" Su Yan approached with her sense of crisis, eyeing Zhou Yun warily, and with a deliberately relaxed posture, she looked at Wei Chen, "You seem to be having a great ti."
Wei Chen’s expression changed a bit upon seeing Su Yan.
As if she saw nothing, Zhou Yun just smiled slightly and said, "I didn’t get a chance to chat properly with Brother Chan yesterday. Today we ended up in the sa group, so we talked a lot more, unexpectedly having a great ti."
