He Yong was speaking loftily to everyone around.
Zhou Yun followed beside him, feeling overly flattered, her cheeks slightly blushing.
As they circulated, there really was soone from a production company with a suitable project in preparation, talking to her.
At this mont, Zhou Lan found a gap to join in. She introduced herself and exchanged contact information, chatting cheerfully and quickly warming up the atmosphere with a few words.

"Nothing, just thinking you’ve got it tough." Li Ci suddenly smiled, "When President He was introducing you around, Xu Siyao’s look could kill, you really have it tough."
Zhou Yun thought to herself, why is this playboy enjoying this scene?
She retorted sarcastically, "You and Xu Siyao are forced apart yet act as if nothing happened, that must be tough."
Li Ci laughed.
"You’re really sothing. What do you an forced apart?" Li Ci made an exaggerated face, surprised at Zhou Yun, "You don’t think I’m serious with Xu Siyao, do you?"
Zhou Yun just looked at him.
"We’re just mutually playing around, don’t look at like I’m two-timing," Li Ci was quite emphatic, "making it seem as though I’m so major playboy."
"Hah? You don’t think you are? Sleeping with others while having a girlfriend, isn’t that being a playboy?"
"My girlfriend hasn’t asked to be chaste," Li Ci continued unabashedly.
"Say whatever you want, no need to explain to ," Zhou Yun was utterly speechless, "anyways, it’s your business."
Li Ci shrugged.
He asked, "Don’t tell you and Song Chi haven’t gotten past that barrier in your relationship yet?"
Zhou Yun rolled her eyes, her tone unfriendly, simply said, "What’s it to you?"
Li Ci burst into laughter, holding his waist and said, "Really? Well, whether you talk about it or not, it’s up to you guys anyway."
Zhou Yun couldn’t tell if Li Ci was genuinely foolish or deliberately offensive, stirring up trouble out of nowhere and making her angry for no reason?
Again, Li Ci said, "Do you know what Xu Siyao told in bed that night?"
Zhou Yun’s face turned cold, and her tone icy as she responded, "You think it’s okay to share what soone said to you in bed as a joke with others? And you say you’re not a scumbag?"
Li Ci: "I didn’t tell anyone else, just you."
"I’m not interested."
"It concerns you."
"I still don’t want to hear it from your mouth." Zhou Yun’s disgust for Li Ci reached its peak, more than ever before. Despite having worked together in the crew of ’Dingfengbo’ for so long, she had never realized how detestable Li Ci was. She glared at him with utmost loathing and turned to leave.
Li Ci looked surprised, apparently not expecting Zhou Yun to dismiss him genuinely. He called out to her in astonishnt twice. When Zhou Yun didn’t respond, he hastened forward a few steps and grasped her wrist.
Zhou Yun jerked her hand away as if burned by hot tongs and snapped, "What are you doing?"
The commotion drew attention.
Bystanders looked on with a curious "what’s happening" expression, their gaze turning speculative within seconds.
A woman chatting with He Yong looked intrigued and asked, "President He, what’s going on with this golden couple of your company? Are they having a mont?"
Before He Yong could respond, Zhou Lan hurried over to Zhou Yun’s side, positioning herself between her and Li Ci in a subtle manner. She looked at Zhou Yun, silently asking what was wrong.
Realizing there were too many onlookers, Zhou Yun, not wanting to beco a topic of gossip or fuel unnecessary rumors with Li Ci, blurted out loudly enough for everyone to hear, "Li Ci insists on making admit that I’m dating Song Chi. Sister Lan, please handle him, he’s drunk."
After her declaration, Zhou Lan quickly played along without questioning its truth.
"Li Ci, really, you know very well that Xiao Yun hates rumors about her and Song Chi. You’re sober enough to know the truth, so is it the drink talking?" Zhou Lan approached Li Ci, grabbed his arm and pinched it, signaling him to manage the situation and ease out of this ss. Li Ci shook off Zhou Lan’s hand and shrugged, unwillingly said, "If she doesn’t want to talk, so be it. What a temper, who cares about whether you and Song Chi are real or fake lovers?"
Li Ci turned and walked away.

His few words weren’t many, but they left much to the imagination.

Upon hearing those words, Zhou Lan felt a sense of heaviness. She could only hope that those who heard were discreet enough not to spread it to a wider audience.
That single line, if twisted by soone with intentions, could spark another storm.
He Yong ca over to ask Zhou Yun what was wrong.
Zhou Yun responded coldly, "Ask him."
He Yong, realizing the young mistress was offended by Li Ci, quickly tried to console her, "Calm down, don’t stoop to Li Ci’s level."
Zhou Yun remained silent.
"I’ll reprimand Li Ci once we’re back. I’ll make sure he learns his lesson," He Yong sighed, "It’s really my fault for spoiling him too much."
Zhou Yun gave him a sidelong glance and said sarcastically, "Yes, President He, you indulge everyone but always ask to be the bigger person; never the other way around. Seems like it’s true—the squeaky wheel gets the grease."
