"Why are you asking this?" Zhou Yun retorted.
Wei Heyun said, "You should have heard that I like Yu Sitian."
"Uh, I have heard that, but what does it have to do with ?"
"Sitian likes Song Chi," Wei Heyun said. "If you were to be with Song Chi, Sitian might finally give up."
Zhou Yun was very perplexed.
"Are you and Song Chi dating?" Wei Heyun asked a second ti.
"Hold on, wait," Zhou Yun raised both hands, faltered like a robot for a mont, and said, "Mr. Wei, your liking Yu Sitian is your matter, whether Yu Sitian likes Song Chi is Yu Sitian’s matter, whether Song Chi and I are dating is our business, don’t confuse these, and it’s not like if Song Chi and I were together, Yu Sitian would truly give up. Liking soone isn’t that easy to stop, just as you said Yu Sitian likes Song Chi, you wouldn’t just give up on Yu Sitian."
Wei Heyun showed a surprised expression on his face.
Zhou Yun suddenly felt a bit guilty.
"Has no one ever told you these things before?" Zhou Yun asked.
Unexpectedly, Wei Heyun actually shook his head.
Zhou Yun covered her face with one hand, "So awkward."
Wei Heyun asked, "So, when you won fall for a man, you never change your mind?"
"Not necessarily," Zhou Yun felt sowhat desperate, Wei Heyun was unpredictable, and she didn’t know how to respond, "No, Mr. Wei, I don’t know much about Sitian, I’m not close to her, I don’t know what kind of person she is, you might want to ask soone who knows her well."
"Those who know her well say that she’s completely set her heart on Song Chi," Wei Heyun’s eyes revealed a touch of sad confusion, "I always feel that sincere heart can penetrate stone."
In that mont, Zhou Yun completely overturned her initial impression of Wei Heyun. Before, from what Wen Xi had described, and seeing Wei Heyun’s deanor, she rely thought he was a rich spoiled young master, chasing after a female celebrity despite her not liking him back. Who knew, Wei Heyun turned out to be a passionately devoted lover?
The three words surfaced in Zhou Yun’s mind, and she was stunned.
Gross. That was her problem. Zhou Yun was not used to seeing such deep affection in soone—it made her think of herself. Was it possible to be so blindly in love? Definitely not, stop kidding. Zhou Yun took a deep breath and said to Wei Heyun, "Mr. Wei, what if Yu Sitian never likes you back?"
Wei Heyun’s face appeared lost and helpless, and after a long while, he stamred, "I...I haven’t thought about that."
Zhou Yun said, "Maybe you should think about it."
After saying that, she fled in haste.

Reflecting on it later, Zhou Yun felt that she shouldn’t have said so much to Wei Heyun. They had never t before and didn’t know each other; how could she say so much the first ti they t?
She realized she had been sowhat flustered.
"Xiao Yun, what’s wrong?" Yuk Chu found her, saw her hesitant gaze and absent-minded expression, and asked.
Zhou Yun grabbed Yuk Chu’s hand and said, "I’m fine, I... where is Song Chi?"
"He’s over there, talking with Chen Wenjun," Yuk Chu said.
Zhou Yun sighed and said, "I need to go to the restroom."
"Do you want to co with you?" Yuk Chu asked.
"It’s okay, I can go alone," Zhou Yun released Yuk Chu’s hand, smiled gratefully at her, and went to find the restroom.
The hallway was very quiet.
As soon as she ca out from the main event area, the noise created by the multitude of voices faded away.
It felt like being shut in another world behind a door.
Zhou Yun walked to the sink, looked at herself in the mirror. Suddenly, footsteps sounded from inside, from the n’s side.
Zhou Yun quickly hid the bewildered look on her face and turned on the faucet.
The person who ca out was Li Ci.
He, too, hesitated for a mont because of Zhou Yun’s presence.
The sound of running water.
An unusual silence flowed between the two.
Zhou Yun thought, she should leave this awkward situation quickly. She turned off the faucet, ready to leave.
"Aren’t you going to say hello?" Li Ci spoke up.
Damn it.
Zhou Yun cursed inwardly.
She thought, either cover up the awkwardness from the beginning or don’t try to alleviate it after it has happened.
Awkwardness is such a thing; the more you try to solve it, the less soluble it becos, and all efforts only increase the heartache.
"Is there sothing?" Zhou Yun turned back and looked at Li Ci.
"I wanted to say sorry," he shrugged and said.
Zhou Yun scoffed lightly, "I can’t hear an ounce of sincerity in your apology."
Li Ci said, "Take the good and leave it at that, don’t act clever when you’ve gained an advantage, at least you get to hear my apology."
Zhou Yun: "I didn’t ask for this, can you please not feel aggrieved while apologizing?"
Li Ci: "You really are unyielding when you’re right, I’ve never seen a woman fussier than you."
"You should really reflect on this, if it weren’t for your face, you’d find the world is full of fussy won, you’re the one acting clever despite gaining an advantage," Zhou Yun argued angrily.
Li Ci, surprised, widened his eyes and spread his hands, tried to say sothing, but couldn’t utter a word, as if his throat was glued up with invisible glue, even making a mouth movent seed futile.
"Jerk." Zhou Yun ended the conversation with these two words and walked away.
Her mood miraculously recovered.
"What’s got you so happy?" Song Chi ca over through the crowd and asked.
Zhou Yun proudly lifted her chin, "I just realized sothing, no matter how I contradict myself or struggle, at least I never hurt others, which is a lot better than so."
Song Chi confused, "I didn’t quite catch that."
"It’s fine, you don’t need to understand." Zhou Yun was in an extrely good mood, took a couple of sips of whisky, her smile brighter, with a slightly tipsy glow, she leaned into Song Chi’s ear and whispered softly: "I don’t feel sorry at all, I just like you, it’s because you like too, if you didn’t, my liking would just be plain liking."
Song Chi was even more baffled.
But Zhou Yun’s words gave rise to a gentle and joyful moon in his heart.
Song Chi also leaned into Zhou Yun’s ear and whispered quietly, "Yes, I like you."
The two began whispering to each other in plain sight.
Chen Wenjun saw it from afar and said to Wei Heyun, "Young Master Wei, look at those two, there’s definitely sothing going on, and they just won’t admit it, stubborn as dead ducks."
Wei Heyun glanced at Chen Wenjun, picked up his glass of wine, took a sip, and remained silent, a hint of lancholy flashing across his expression.
Chen Wenjun then realized he had spoken carelessly.
