Zhou Yun stretched lazily and turned to grab her phone.
She unlocked the screen and saw a ssage from Song Chi asking: What are you doing right now?
The ssage had been sent an hour ago.
Zhou Yun replied: Taking a nap, just woke up.
Song Chi hadn’t replied for a while, probably because he was shooting a film.
Zhou Yun put down her phone and got out of bed to go to the washroom.
While she was washing her face, her phone rang.
She thought it was a call from Song Chi, so she hurriedly dried her face with a towel to answer the call.
But it turned out to be Wei Heyun.
"Are you awake yet?" he asked as his opening line.
Zhou Yun: "With your call coming in, I’d have to wake up even if I weren’t."
Wei Heyun chuckled and said, "Co have dinner with tonight."
"Dinner? What dinner?" Zhou Yun said, "I’m waiting to have dinner with Song Chi tonight."
Wei Heyun said, "Isn’t Song Chi busy filming? Does he have ti to dine with you?"
"Maybe he’ll have ti." Zhou Yun said, "You go ahead by yourself."
"That won’t do, I’ve already told them I would bring you along," Wei Heyun said, "They are all so of my friends."
"Don’t drag into your shindig with your rowdy friends; I never agreed to that. Who let you promise them before asking ?" Zhou Yun said, "I finally have so ti off; don’t disturb my holiday."
Wei Heyun said, "You really don’t know what’s good for you. I’ve even called over a few friends who are in the film industry."
Zhou Yun said, "Did you not understand ? I’m on leave."
Wei Heyun: "...Alright, alright."
Zhou Yun hung up the phone, thought for a bit, and sent another ssage to Song Chi, asking if he could have dinner with her tonight.
It was about half an hour later that Song Chi finally called.
"Was filming just now."
"I guessed as much." Zhou Yun lay on the bed and asked, "When will it end today? Can we have dinner together tonight?"
Song Chi said apologetically, "Not today, there’s another scene tonight, and it will be late before we wrap up."
"Alright." Zhou Yun couldn’t hide her disappointnt.
But as an actress herself, she understood that as a professional actor, and especially as a lead, Song Chi needed to accommodate and adhere to the schedule of the crew as much as possible.
Song Chi wasn’t just a supporting actor who could be swapped out at a mont’s notice if sothing ca up.
If his scenes couldn’t be fild as planned, it would affect the work of all the different departnts of the crew.
Zhou Yun said, "Then I’ll go to dinner with Wei Heyun tonight."
Song Chi asked in surprise, "He’s still here?"
"He booked a room in the hotel; I don’t know what he’s thinking," Zhou Yun said, "It seems like he believes I can help him win over Yu Sitian, I really don’t know what’s going on."
Song Chi went silent for a mont, then said, "Did he invite you for dinner tonight?"
"He said he arranged a et-up with a few of his friends. I refused him earlier, but if he really made the arrangents, I’m thinking of just going."
Song Chi was silent again, then asked, "Can you not go?"
Zhou Yun was taken aback.
She hadn’t expected Song Chi to say that.
Did Song Chi not want her to go?
Why?
Zhou Yun quickly realized, could Song Chi be jealous of Wei Heyun? It was quite possible.
She let out a laugh.
"If you don’t want to go, then I won’t," Zhou Yun said, her lips curling up with a hint of smug satisfaction, "I got it, I’ll wait for you at the hotel."
Song Chi seed not to have expected Zhou Yun to agree so readily.
He asked, "How co you agreed without any hesitation?"
Zhou Yun said, "I didn’t agree to go with him in the first place. I’m considering soone who is silently getting jealous, aren’t I?"
Song Chi: "...The director is calling ."
"Oh, you better go then, don’t keep the director waiting," Zhou Yun laughed, "Don’t make the director jealous over ."
Song Chi hung up the phone, feeling a mix of annoyance and embarrassnt.
Zhou Yun couldn’t stop laughing.

At nine o’clock in the evening, Song Chi finally finished work.
He headed back to the hotel by car.
The other actors in the crew were looking at his retreating figure with gossipy eyes.
He was aware of it, but he just pretended not to see.
Many people had such thoughts about him, and he knew it.
Off-screen romances were not uncommon in the crew.
But he never played that ga, always kept to himself, and protected himself very well.
Zhang Cong already knew about Zhou Yun’s visit, so he asked, "Brother Chi, since Sister Xiao Yun is here, should I communicate with the crew to give you a day or two off?"
Song Chi said, "Tell the coordinator to push my evening scenes back if possible. If it really can’t be done, then forget it."
