Almost every crew hates actors who double book, but when it really happens, can you truly kick them out?
If you disregard the consequences, simply firing soone, reclaiming their pay according to the contract, and claiming compensation is the easiest, but no crew can handle things that recklessly.
If we can call the person back to finish shooting, the crew will never choose the second option.
Because if the actor is kicked out, the crew faces two choices.
Either, replace and reshoot, which ans everything fild with the actor becos waste.
Or, suddenly kill off the character in the script, or write the character out, which severely disrupts the script’s structure.
Ning Yufeng said, "We’ll discuss how to handle this later, thank you all, that’s all I wanted to say."

After everyone left, Ning Yufeng said, "Regarding Guan Siya’s issue, I hope that if we can call her back, we should try to do so, at least to finish the shoot. We’ve already fild more than half of the scenes. Switching actors now would be too costly, and everyone’s schedule can’t wait, especially Lily. She has several scenes already shot with Guan Siya. We can’t have Lily reshoot with a new actor."
The producer asked, "How many scenes remain unshot by Guan Siya? Could they be shifted to other character relationships?"
This essentially ans making Guan Siya’s character disappear from the script entirely.
Ning Yufeng shook his head, saying, "I think unless it’s absolutely necessary, we shouldn’t do that. When viewers see a character suddenly disappear midway, it’s not suitable."
The producer said, "Guan Siya’s actions are despicable. I think she’s relying on us not daring to fire her, which is why she dares to act so recklessly."
Ning Yufeng noticed the producer’s anger.

Can everyone afford to stay in the crew to shoot, not to ntion the added costs would be at least eight figures? Second, I support the director’s idea that unless it’s absolutely necessary, we shouldn’t let a character just disappear, otherwise it won’t align."

The producer asked, "You also think we should call Guan Siya back and finish shooting?"
"She signed a contract with us. She has the obligation to finish filming. Lily’s family faced such a big issue, yet she restrained her sadness and stayed on set to finish the shoot. What right does she have to just stop filming?" Zhou Yun rebutted.
"Moreover, first call her back to finish shooting, sorting things out can co later; now we need to prioritize the film." Zhou Yun said.
Ning Yufeng breathed a sigh of relief.
The producer said, "But now Guan Siya’s team is not engaging with us, dodging and refusing to respond, what should we do?"
"What did her agency say?" Zhou Yun asked.
The producer replied, "Couldn’t reach them."
"Couldn’t reach them?" Zhou Yun asked in surprise, "Why?"
"Their contact said that the specific affairs of the artist aren’t their responsibility, but the agent’s, asking us to contact the agent." The producer laughed bitterly, "Now you understand why I desperately want to kick her out of the crew? It’s frustrating dealing with them."
