Zhou Yun said, "You should act more in the future. With such superb acting skills, you’ll definitely win over more audiences."
Compared to Zeng Lili, Zhou Yun and You Jiang aren’t that familiar with each other.
The gender difference is one thing; on the other hand, You Jiang himself isn’t as personable as Zeng Lili.
You Jiang’s acting is outstanding. He’s been active on the drama stage while also participating in many film and TV productions. Undoubtedly, he possesses extraordinary acting talent, and he’s a very cultured actor.
When Zhou Yun chats with You Jiang, she often hears him ntion certain viewpoints from a book or quote a philosophical concept.
He’s not showing off; it’s just that he can use those to explain sothing he wants to express more vividly and concisely.
Deep down, Zhou Yun has great respect for You Jiang.
After getting off the plane, soone t them to take them to the hotel.
Being in the United States does have its perks: fewer people recognize them, allowing them to enjoy a bit of ordinary life.
This ti it was just Zhou Lan and Zheng Xiaojue traveling with Zhou Yun, and You Jiang didn’t even bring an assistant, just himself.
Zhou Yun felt quite embarrassed seeing this.
But You Jiang didn’t mind at all, exuding a kind of broad-minded and optimistic charm.
They agreed to have dinner together, but before that, they each went to their rooms to rest.
But what Zhou Yun didn’t expect was that shortly after entering her room, soone knocked on her door.
Zhou Yun was curious and looked through the peephole, and to her surprise, it was Cristina.
She had t her back in May at Cannes, a Spanish actress.
What was she doing here?
Zhou Yun opened the door in delight, looking at her in surprise, and said in English, "Hi! How did you know I was here?"
Cristina laughed, warmly hugged her, and said, "I’m filming a movie here, also produced by Paimon. They invited to the screening of ’Behind the Scenes.’ I knew you were coming, so I asked around in advance to surprise you!"
She was holding a bouquet of flowers, "This is for you."
Zhou Yun was pleasantly surprised, took the flowers, and thanked her.
Cristina’s smile was bright and radiant, "Do you want to grab a drink now?"
Zhou Yun said in surprise, "Now? I just got here and haven’t even unpacked my things yet."
"You can do that later," Cristina said, "I have to go back to continue filming in two hours. I haven’t seen you for a long ti; let’s have a drink together."
A beautiful blonde suddenly acting cute with her made Zhou Yun’s heart soften.
"Okay, wait a mont," Zhou Yun said to Cristina, gesturing her in, "Co in and wait for ."
Cristina nodded.
Ten minutes later, they left the hotel together.
Cristina drove Zhou Yun to a nearby restaurant.
"I really like the burgers at this place; they’re delicious. Do you want to try one?" Cristina recomnded.
Zhou Yun agreed.
The two ordered a drink each and sat at a small table on the terrace.
A sunshade above their heads shielded them from the greasy sunlight.
Two beauties sitting there naturally caught people’s attention, with glances occasionally directed their way.
However, Cristina seed completely at ease and asked openly, "Have you been filming in China lately?"
"Yes." Zhou Yun nodded, "I just finished a TV series."
"A TV series? Wow, what’s the story?" Cristina asked curiously, "Is it a Netflix production?"
"No, it’s produced by a company from our country," Zhou Yun explained.
Cristina responded with an "Oh," saying, "I thought it was a Netflix series since they’re producing shows in various countries now."
Zhou Yun smiled and asked, "When did you co to the United States?"
"I ca in August. I’m filming a movie by Brun. Do you know him?" Cristina asked.
Zhou Yun shook her head, "I’ve never fild in the United States."
Cristina realized this, nodded, and said, "Yeah, your own market in China is already huge. Hollywood doesn’t want to give it up now. Haven’t they approached you for films?"
Zhou Yun had actually received invitations from Hollywood film companies, but the projects were quite ordinary and didn’t appeal to her.
She smiled and said, "I haven’t co across a script I really like."
Cristina nodded and said, "Yeah, Hollywood scripts rarely have roles suited for Asian actors."
"That’s true." Zhou Yun nodded.
Cristina suddenly rembered sothing and said, "It was the sa with Song Chi. A company wanted him for a film, but he turned it down."
"Hmm?" Zhou Yun asked in surprise, "When did this happen? Can you tell more about it?"
Cristina said, "You didn’t know? So, Paimon had a big production film and wanted Song Chi for the second male lead, the main villain. It was really a great opportunity, you know. If you’re in such a big production, the global audience would know you, but Song Chi didn’t want to play the villain, especially in a film where everyone else was Caucasian. He didn’t want to make Asians a stereotype for villains. I heard from others."
Zhou Yun felt that this was indeed sothing Song Chi would do.
She said helplessly, "To be honest, this really isn’t our turf. The roles we can get are very plain and stereotypical."
Cristina shrugged, "But there are still many actors from your country willing to take these roles."
"Really? Then who ended up playing the villain role Song Chi turned down?" Zhou Yun asked curiously.
"The role was later changed to a Russian character," Cristina said. "Originally, they set the character to be Chinese just to convince Song Chi to take the role. Other Chinese male actors didn’t have enough international fa for Paimon to let them do it."
Zhou Yun couldn’t help but laugh.
"I see."
She thought of the Chinese Warrior-thed movie.
She wondered how far that project had progressed.
Suddenly, a handso young man with a very prominent jawline walked over, smiling charmingly, and said, "Hi, are you waiting for soone here?"
Zhou Yun and Cristina exchanged a glance.
Cristina told the guy, "We already have an appointnt."
The guy showed a disappointed expression and said, "What a pity. I wanted to ask you beautiful ladies out to have so fun."
Cristina’s smile was bright and charming as she said, "Today we don’t have the ti, but if you’re free, you can contact this Saturday."
Zhou Yun looked at Cristina in so surprise.
